Step by Step, You Can Reach the Height of Taipei 101

Today, Alex accomplished something truly amazing —
he climbed all the way up Taipei 101.

There were no shortcuts and no elevators —
just step after step, breath after breath,
and the determination to say, “I’ll try one more step.”

It must have been exhausting,
and there were surely moments when he wanted to give up.
But Alex didn’t stop.
He chose to believe:
As long as you don’t give up, the finish line will appear.

Learning is just the same.
English doesn’t improve overnight,
and progress doesn’t happen all at once.

Every word you learn,
every sentence you dare to speak,
and every moment you choose to keep trying
is a step toward your own Taipei 101.

To all our students:
You don’t have to race against others.
Just remember —
moving upward, step by step, is already an achievement.

Alex made it,
and so can you.

Step by step,
let’s climb higher together. 🏙️✨

Alex

Alex

A Gentle Reminder Before the Exam

Standing here means you’ve already worked very hard.
In these last few days, you don’t need to prove anything.
All you need to do is trust yourself and bring home the scores you deserve.

No need to chase new or difficult questions.
This is not about speed, but about holding onto what you know well.
Finishing what you know is already your best performance.

Compare less. Focus more.
Others’ progress does not define your readiness.
Bring your focus back to yourself.

Taking care of your body is part of exam preparation.
Eat well and sleep well so your mind can support you on exam day.

Feeling nervous is normal.
Nervousness means you care, not that you’re incapable.
Take a deep breath and tell yourself, “I am ready.”

The exam does not define who you are.
It is simply one stop along your journey.
Walk steadily and write with calm confidence.
You will walk out of the exam with answers that are truly yours.

✨ Trust yourself. You are already enough.

Effective Revision Strategies for Your Final Exams 12/01/2026

主旨:《Effective Revision Strategies for Your Final Exams》

Finals Week is officially crashing in!
Still battling your textbooks until the middle of the night?
This revision guide breaks down the most popular 'straight-A student' hacks from abroad, showing you how to replace mindless grinding with science-backed methods.
Stop letting your memory betray you—check out these secrets to high-efficiency revision now!

https://studenttimes.org/resources/graduate-advice/2024/04/effective-revision-strategies-for-your-final-exams/

Instead of re-reading notes, force your brain to retrieve information. Close your book and summarize the key concepts from memory.

Review materials at increasing intervals (e.g., 1 day, 3 days, 1 week later). This moves information from short-term to long-term memory.

Mix different topics or subjects in one study session. This helps your brain distinguish between different types of problems and concepts.

Explain a concept in simple terms as if you were teaching a child. If you get stuck, you've identified a gap in your knowledge.

Use past papers and mock exams to familiarize yourself with the format and time constraints.

(Summary Advice)
Efficiency is about how you study, not just how long. Use active strategies to maximize retention.

When a cold wave hits, staying warm isn’t just about wearing more clothes —
it’s about layering smartly and protecting key areas, especially your head and ears.

❄️ Cold Wave Outfit Tips

(Beanie)
Your head loses heat quickly — a beanie helps lock in warmth instantly.

(Earmuffs)
Ears are extra sensitive to cold wind — earmuffs are a must.

(Scarf)
Cover your neck to block out cold air.

(Down Jacket / Padded Coat)
Your first line of defense against wind and cold.

(Sweater)
A warm inner layer that’s snug but comfortable.

(Gloves)
Cold hands can make your whole body feel colder.

(Flannels)
Don’t forget your legs — warmth starts from below too.

(Socks & Snow Boots)
Warm feet = a warmer body.

Staying warm isn’t about wearing the most layers,
but keeping yourself warm from head to toe.

Stay warm and take care this winter ❄️✨

What Is a Cold Wave?

A cold wave is a weather event when the temperature drops suddenly and becomes much colder than usual over a large area.

What Happens During a Cold Wave?

The temperature drops very quickly, often within one day.

Strong winds can make it feel even colder than the real temperature.

People need to bundle up and wear warm clothes.

Animals, plants, and daily life can all be affected.

Why Do Cold Waves Happen?

Cold waves happen when cold air from polar regions moves south into warmer areas.

This is often related to changes in the jet stream, which controls weather patterns.

Fun Fact

Even though the Earth is getting warmer, cold waves can still happen.

Climate change can make weather more extreme, not just warmer.

Understanding and Dealing with Japan’s Bear Crisis 31/12/2025

Current Events for Exam Prep|Understanding and Dealing with Japan’s Bear Crisis

With Taiwan’s GSAT approaching,
📚 English reading skills and current events awareness are more important than ever.
This time, Tr. Michelle has specially selected an international current-events article from Nippon.com:
🔎 Understanding and Dealing with Japan’s Bear Crisis
In recent years, many regions in Japan have faced increasing encounters with wild bears. This issue not only affects public safety, but also involves broader topics such as:
🐻 wildlife conservation
🏙️ urban–rural development
📜 government policies

These are exactly the kinds of topics that often appear in GSAT English and social studies exams.
The test doesn’t just check vocabulary—it examines whether students can understand issues and grasp the context.

👉 While reading, students are encouraged to think about:
Why are bears entering human living areas more frequently?
How are the Japanese government and society responding to this issue?
Are there similar situations in Taiwan or other countries?
When exam preparation is connected to real-world issues,
learning becomes more meaningful and long-lasting 💡

🔎 Understanding and Dealing with Japan’s Bear Crisis
