我們最近正在閱讀一個關於一群昆蟲搭著會飛的巨大桃子前往紐約的故事，所以這次我們選擇了「虫」作為書法練習的字！🐛
As we’ve been reading a story about a group of insects riding a flying peach to New York, we chose 虫 as our calligraphy character this time!

隨著夏季學期即將進入尾聲，我們的《詹姆斯與巨桃》專案也越來越有成果。看著孩子們化身為場景設計師、導演、攝影師、演員和音效工程師，實在令人驚喜。我們特別為他們展現出的合作能力感到驕傲，也迫不及待想看到這部作品完成的模樣！🍑
Our ‘James and the Giant Peach’ project is gathering momentum as we approach the end of summer term. It’s amazing how the children have stepped into the roles of set designers, directors, videographers, actors and sound engineers and we are so proud of their collaborative skills. We truly cannot wait to see the finished piece!

最近我們很享受使用大型木頭積木進行建構遊戲。我們總是對孩子們合作建構的能力感到印象深刻，透過有效的溝通與討論，一起創造出從城堡到樂器等各式各樣的作品。🧱
Recently we’ve been enjoying big construction play with our wooden blocks. We are forever impressed to see how well the children work collaboratively to construct anything from castles to musical instruments, through effective communication and negotiation. 🏯

We’ve been reading another of Roald Dahl’s short stories, “George’s Marvellous Medicine”. On this day we were thinking about how the things we eat and drink get into our bodies, and how different substances can affect our bodies.

拍攝《飛天巨桃歷險記》短片的過程，需要大家一起合作完成許多不同的工作！這天我們拍攝了桃子掉進大海的場景，大家一起想辦法讓紙糊大桃子看起來像真的在海浪上漂浮搖晃，過程非常有趣。因為需要完成的事情很多，每個人都在其中扮演了重要的角色！🍑
Shooting our short film of “James and the Giant Peach” involves so many moving parts! On this day we filmed the peach landing in the sea, and had a wonderful time working together to make our papier mâché peach appear to bob on the waves. There was so much to do everyone had an important part!

這個課程是為了在家中使用雙語、目前就讀台灣小學的孩子，以及從全英文幼兒園畢業、希望在進入小學後持續維持英文能力的孩子所設計。我們的巨嘴鳥小學延伸課程將在充滿樂趣與互動的環境中，持續建立孩子的英文素養能力。
課程將結合全新的 Jolly Literacy 課程與富有挑戰性及趣味性的專題式學習，我們也期待能將英文作為探索世界、拓展理解與思考能力的重要工具！

We are very excited to announce the opening of our Alumni club, beginning in autumn of this year!
Designed for learners who are either bilingual at home and attending local schools, or learners graduating from English language kindergarten and looking to maintain their English as they move up through primary school, our Alumni Club builds on English literacy skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Following the new Jolly Literacy curriculum in combination with exciting and challenging project-based learning, we are looking forward to using English as a tool to challenge and further our understanding of the world around us!
