Hey guys! It's been a while! Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays this long weekend ☺️ I took a short break in March and traveled to Italy for 10 days. So I'd love to share some useful words you can use for traveling. First off, let's talk about checking in your luggage at the airport:

Check-in luggage → 托運行李
Carry-on luggage → 隨身行李
Luggage claim → 行李提領

📌 Also, remember we say:
I'm almost done packing my luggage. (O)
I'm almost done packaging. (X)

Pack (verb) → 打包／收拾（行李）
Packaging (noun) → 包裝

✅ Some more examples:
1. We can bring two check-in luggages for this airline.
2. What's the weight limit for carry-on luggage?
3. What number is our luggage claim?

Today's class with Chloe! ✨
Chloe has been taking classes with me on a weekly basis ever since February 2003. It's always nice to have someone to talk to and share different life experiences.

The most intense or important point in a story is called a "climax." When you're watching a movie or a Netflix series, the climax is the most exciting point or turning point in the movie, usually after a slow buildup and towards the end of the story.

Climax is viewed as the highest point or the peak of something. It could also be part of a process or a situation.

👉 The climax of the night was definitely the fireworks!
👉 Her message was so inspirational and moving that people were crying during the climax of her speech.
👉 As the movie approached the climax, people didn't dare leave their seats.

Climax (n.): 高潮；巔峰

Can you guess what "wasted" here might mean?!

Here, "Wasted" means "very drunk" ✅

Another way to say, very drunk:
👉 "Plastered" (adj):
He is so plastered now. Let's take him home.

🎯 "Wasted" (adj):
How did he get so wasted?! I thought he only had one drink.

Do you know when to use these words to describe smell? There are subtle differences but also may be used interchangeably!

Some examples include: 👇
This wine has a very sweet, fruity aroma.
Love the fragrance of this candle!
This flower bouquet has a very nice scent.
He has a strong body odor.

🌟 Aroma (n): a pleasant smell, usually from food or drink
🌟 Fragrance (n): a pleasant smell, usually from perfumes or other created artificial smells
🌟 Scent (n): a pleasant natural smell, usually from flowers or plants
🌟 Odor (n): usually an unpleasant smell, including rotting food, sewage, body odor.

🌟 Candid (adj.):
There are two usages!
1. to express honestly and openly, without pretense
2. Natural, unposed (for photos)

🌟 Sentence examples:
1. In his candid interview, we were able to see his true passion and reasons for pursuing his career.
2. She likes to take candid photos of people during her travel.

We like to use this word normally in our daily conversation. Try using this in your sentence! 🤭🧡
