Coffee hits the table, and conversations start moving.

While many design aspects in the space are lightly colored wood, black is the most distinctive theme color in this space.

What makes this project unique is its spirit: a renewal of the old into the new. It represents a complete transformation of an iconic historic building, as if a black-and-white image suddenly bloomed into 4K brilliance. The challenge was formidable, yet in overcoming it, the reward grew richer still.

Light, breeze, and greenery continually enter, allowing energy to flow through the space - keeping it vibrant and alive.

By the end of 2025, lululemon relocated its Shanghai office to the West Bund — a place more lived-in, and more oriented toward the future.

Set along the Xuhui Riverfront, this five-story building is more than a new location. It marks a renewed reflection on brand culture: how talent is nurtured, how genuine community is fostered, and what kind of space can sustain long-term well-being.

Together with iDA Workplace, lululemon set out to create a workplace attuned to emotion, movement, social connection, and self-expression.
