Forest Micrometeorology Lab, National Taiwan University

Last week, Chung-Wei, a master’s student in our lab, and I visited the Fukuoka Experimental Forest at Kyushu University. We had the opportunity to present our studies in their seminar and visit various study sites in the forests.

Our graduate students Yi-fan and Chung-Wei presented their research today at the 2024 Colloquium on Sustainable Development of Forest Resources.

Taro Nakai published a paper entitled "Micrometeorological estimation of wet canopy evaporation from a cloud forest in central Taiwan" in Agricultural and Forest Meteorology.

Desmond, a master's graduate from our lab, published a research paper in the "Trees." He utilized his ability to climb trees to study the vertical and circumferential distribution of bark pH (acidity) on a Japanese cedar tree bole and its temporal variation.
