很多學生問我為什麼要當華語老師？我的回答是：「當華語老師就像是我與生俱來的能力。」我熱愛教學，也熱愛跨文化交流，這早已成為我生活的一部分🥰

每天面對來自不同年齡、背景與文化的學生，我是怎麼教的呢？其實我從未刻意去想「該怎麼教」。我只是把自己當成那位學生，去想像：如果我是學生，我會期待老師教我什麼？原來，我也一直在學習。

旅行、與當地人相處，是我最感恩自己能做的事。每一次旅行，都讓我更了解自己可能面對的挑戰，就像學生在台灣或其他國家生活時會遇到的問題一樣。帶著同理心與愛，每一個小挑戰都能變成彼此之間獨一無二的回憶。

謝謝所有支持 BaiBai Chinese 的人。因為有你們，我們一起完成了許多生活中的小目標 ☑️

Many students ask me why I chose to become a Chinese teacher. My answer is simple: being a Chinese teacher feels like a gift I was born with. I love teaching, and I love connecting across cultures—it has become a natural part of my life 💜

Every day I meet students of different ages, backgrounds, and cultures. People often ask me how I teach. The truth is, I’ve never really thought about how to teach. Instead, I put myself in my students’ shoes and ask: If I were the student, what would I hope my teacher would share with me? And through that, I realize I’m always learning too.

Traveling and spending time with local people is something I’m deeply grateful for. Each journey helps me understand the challenges I might face—just like the challenges my students encounter when living in Taiwan or other countries. With empathy and love, every small challenge becomes a unique memory we share together.

Thank you to everyone who supports BaiBai Chinese. Because of you, we’ve been able to achieve so many small but meaningful goals in life together. ✨

In 2017, Wendi came to Taiwan to study Chinese and returned home after three months. Now, nine years later, we meet again. What feels the same is the familiar connection; what’s different is that we both carry many more stories and life experiences.

We reminisce about the winter of 2017—when I didn’t just teach them Chinese during the week, but also took them out every weekend to explore, travel, and experience different sides of Taiwanese culture.
Those days became one of the happiest memories of his life.

2017年文娣來台灣學中文，3個月後回國；9年後的現在，我們再次相見。一樣的是熟悉的感覺；不一樣的是，彼此多了許多的故事與人生經驗。我們回憶著那段2017年冬季的日子，我帶著他們不僅是平日上中文課，每個週末一起出去玩，體驗這台灣不同的文化，那是他人生中一段最歡樂的回憶。

Yíyàng de shì shóuxī de gǎnjué; bù yíyàng de shì, bǐcǐ duōle xǔduō de gùshì yǔ rénshēng jīngyàn. Hey! Monday- Life with BaiBai

Animesh has such a clear vision for his future. I love listening to him analyze and research things—it always makes me reflect on my own more “go-with-the-flow” way of living.

We’ve known each other for years, but what’s different now is that he no longer lives in Taiwan and is steadily chasing his dreams for the future. This time he came back and brought me some fresh perspectives. Already looking forward to our next meetup!

I also learned a lot about Indian cuisine—thank you, Animesh, for both the knowledge and a very happy, well-fed stomach 😄🍛

星寧，對於自己的未來很有想法，我喜歡聽他做分析和研究，也不禁地讓我思考自己「隨心所欲」的生活方式。認識星寧也好幾年了，不一樣的是現在他不住在台灣了，正為了自己的未來逐夢踏實。這次他回來帶給我一些新想法，期待我們下次見！

I first met Sarah in February 2022 when she rode up to class on her motorcycle—full of energy and impossible to miss. She has always taken her health seriously: she eats clean, works out like a machine, and honestly, I admire her dedication so much.

On top of that, she pours her heart into charity work. I’m really happy I got to join the Thanksgiving event she and her team put together. It was warm, thoughtful, and filled with that special kind of love and gratitude that reminds you how good people can be.

Feeling thankful for her, her team, and all the meaningful connections that keep life bright. 🧡🦃✨

Hey! Wednesday - Life with BaiBai

The last time I saw Alex was back in 2016. We randomly ran into each other on a street, and somehow, everything still felt so familiar. We finally got to catch up again — and seeing how he’s built a life here in Taiwan over all these years, I couldn’t be prouder. We raised our glasses to the past, the present, and all the times we’ll meet again. 🍻
