在上個月中，本校辦了一場盛大的 Maple Tree Got Talent Show。孩子們一邊享用下午茶點心，一邊帶著讚嘆的眼神欣賞同學們在台上的精采演出。從充滿活力的搖滾歌曲、輕快的踢踏舞，到神奇的魔術表演、帥氣的跆拳道，甚至是學生們自行組成的樂團，每一個節目都讓人驚艷！👏

Instead of a high-stress, single-error elimination contest that relies on rote memorization, this showcase was a celebratory platform for authentic self-expression. Our students spend so much time dedicating themselves to learning new skills, and last week's event gave them the perfect opportunity to show their progress, share their unique passions, and build deep-seated confidence.

It takes immense courage to stand in front of an audience, let alone deliver such a star-studded performance. Great job, everyone! You absolutely nailed it! 要在眾人面前站上舞台需要極大的勇氣，更不用說帶來如此巨星般的精采演出了。大家表現得太棒了！你們完全做到了！👏🏻✨

「老師…我們可以把窗戶關起來嗎？煙味飄進教室裡了…」

孩子們將日常生活中遇到的煩惱，作為PBL（專題式學習） 的歷程起點。讓「吸菸有害健康」不再僅是教條式的宣導，而是透過親自設計桌遊，將「無菸城市」的健康訴求濃縮進一張充滿未知與挑戰的大富翁地圖中，主動思考菸害防制的可能性。

在遊戲設計的過程中，孩子們練習換位思考、勇於表達自我的獨特見解；更在與同儕的對話中，找尋健康訴求與社會規則的平衡。他們逐步將分歧的觀點，彙整成一張富含巧思的無菸藍圖。

在這裡，每一種聲音都值得被溫柔接納；每一格規則，都是眾人智慧激盪後的閃耀結晶。💪✨

Right after lunch, some students picked up a novel or a fun book, found a cozy corner, and completely lost track of time. For a full twenty minutes, there was no fidgeting and no asking for help. There was only the quiet flipping of pages and faces full of wonder.

Unlike screens that shorten attention spans with quick flashes of information, a long story trains a child's brain to sustain deep focus. Independent reading always begins with guidance from teachers and parents, slowly transitioning into a personal habit. At Maple Tree, we bridge this gap early to help children move from "learning to read" to "reading to learn," allowing them to think deeply instead of relying on a screen for entertainment.

【 建立軟實力：生活中的驚奇課 🔍✨ 】

After lunch, our kids spotted a neat row of tiny eggs on a tree trunk. They crowded around with eyes wide open:

"Teacher, look! Did a bug leave these here?"

This was the perfect moment for "Opportunity Education." We discovered they were eggs of the Anastatus japonicus (平腹小蜂). We learned these tiny wasps are "nature's helpers". They lay their eggs inside the eggs of pests (like the Lychee Stink Bug), stopping them from damaging trees without the need for chemicals. It was a real-time science lesson on how nature stays balanced!

In science class, we’ve been playing around with something invisible called 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲. Our teacher told us that every time we push or pull something, we’re using 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲.

We pushed and pulled a box, played with some cars and best of all, we got to play tug of war! I didn’t know science could be so much fun!

用最純真的筆觸，勾勒出大海的蔚藍；卻也用最日常的廢棄物，拼貼出海龜的哀愁。

當孩子們看著被塑膠禁錮的海龜，眼裡的亮光逐漸變成了心疼。「哇…好美的海洋，但海龜看起來很痛苦😔」

製作紙偶並不難，但要讓它順利「動起來」，卻讓孩子們傷透腦筋。
每一條線都很重要：太長容易打結，太短又不好操控。
