校史


民國35年創校，為台北縣鶯歌初級中學。

民國57年改制為台北縣立鶯歌國民中學，係本鎮唯一國中，最多班級數達到102班，目前為70班。

民國62年開設夜補校，一、二、三年級各1班。

民國84年成立尖山國民中學，由本校移撥一年級學生6班。

民國86年成立鳳鳴國民中學，由本校移撥一年級學生14班。

民國88年完成學生移撥及超額教師分發。8月，成立附設幼稚園，設立2班。

民國99年12月25日升格改制為新北市立鶯歌國民中學。
