Face masks can soon be ordered at convenience stores

People will be able to order their fortnightly quota of nine masks at Taiwan's four major convenience store chains starting Wednesday, after the government again adjusted its mask rationing system.

People can place orders using the self-service kiosks at more than 10,000 Family Mart, 7-Eleven, OK Mart, and Hi-Life convenience stores from 8 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Friday.

❗The Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (Taiwan CDC) reports no new confirmed cases; 155 patients released from isolation❗
 
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on April 16.
 
Of 395 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 340 are imported and 55 are indigenous. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 155 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder remains hospitalized in isolation.
