A big HESS welcome to our newest teachers! Our September cohort danced and sang their way through their Initial Teacher Training with a ton of spirit. We can’t wait for you all to meet your students and continue the fun with them!

And just like that... another HESS Initial Teacher Training comes to a close. Our August cohort has been busy learning the craft and curriculum, meeting the challenge of a new job in a new country head on, and having a fun time doing it. Our newly-minted HESS NSTs are almost ready to go to their schools, meet their students, and start the next step of their journeys in Taiwan. Well done, teachers!

Congrats and welcome to HESS, July teachers! Today, we bid welcome and farewell to a new cohort of teachers who have completed training and headed off to their schools. The real work (and fun) are just beginning, and we are so excited to have you. We know your fellow teachers and students will warmly welcome you as well!

Yesterday, 26 of our teachers spent the day at our HESS Garden Classroom in Yangmingshan to train for our upcoming ESL summer camps! They’re ready to welcome the students, make some smores, learn about the native/invasive animals, and even hike the mountain. Thank you, teachers, for your dedication!
