Studies have proven that game-based physical education programs are ineffective in developing fundamental movement skills (FMS). Instead, programs whereby students rotate from station to station developing FMS through varied activities is far more effective and beneficial for children’s motor development. Station-based programs also allow teachers to provide timely feedback to students while keeping them on-task, intrinsically-motivated, and physically active. Here is a video which includes many (but not all) of the JUMPing and LANDing stations of my three-week JUMPLAND unit. This is one of their favourite units, by the way.

*Back in the day when I was teaching K - 5 PE* This was a "Parkour" unit that lasted three weeks. We would team-teach this unit three times per year (once per trimester) and each time the skills would be more complex; building on ones taught previously. The kids LOVED it. They finished each class sweating, exhausted, and fulfilled as they would always have accomplished something new each class.
