今年特邀四位國際講者：Julie’s Bicycle的英國藝術協會專案經理Hannah Graham 、《劇場綠皮書》創辦人Paddy Dillon與Lisa Burger，以及歐盟文化政策專家Eric Herve H. Ponthieu教授來臺，以及國內外藝術相關領域的永續推動領導者、臺灣實踐行動代表共 32位參與這次盛會，從實務的「推廣」層面探討，凝聚社會大眾對藝術永續議題的敏感度。

Today's comprehensive forum, titled "Art and Sustainability: Progressing Toward the Future," addresses the pressing realities of climate change and resource depletion. The arts and cultural industries must not only reflect on their use of resources in the creative process but also actively seek innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

The comprehensive forum will be led by members of the TASA, along with representatives such as the Executive Director of the New Taipei City Culture Foundation. These leaders will outline strategies for nurturing future talent in arts sustainability, with a focus on the performing arts, visual arts, galleries, and performance venues. In addition, they will offer recommendations on Taiwan’s cultural policies and industry trends in arts sustainability, helping to pave the way for a greener, more innovative future.

本場次邀請澳洲Powerhouse博物館氣候行動暨永續經理Carmel Reyes及英國曼策斯特博物館自然科學館藏策展人David Gelsthorpe分享不同類型的博物館面對氣候變遷和實踐永續發展的策略與行動，兩館皆強調透過文化實力和展覽，為社會提供空間來共同探索永續解決方案，實現永續場館的使命。

Powerhouse博物館和曼徹斯特博物館皆將永續發展作為核心工作，致力於推動變革和行動。Powerhouse博物館提出的《2022-25氣候行動計劃》以實現淨零排放為目標，而曼徹斯特博物館利用其豐富的藏品及「野生Wild」展覽，促進大眾對生物多樣性與氣候危機的重視。

▍Forum Topic 6: Sustainable Development of Museums 🌍

This session invites Carmel Reyes, Climate Action and Sustainability Manager at Powerhouse Museum, Australia, and David Gelsthorpe, Curator of Earth Sciences Collections at Manchester Museum, UK, to share strategies and actions taken by different types of museums in addressing climate change and implementing sustainable development. Both museums emphasize the use of cultural influence and exhibitions to provide space for society to explore sustainable solutions together and fulfill the mission of creating sustainable institutions.

Powerhouse Museum and Manchester Museum both place sustainable development at the core of their work, striving to drive change and action. Powerhouse Museum has launched the Climate Action Plan 2022–25 with the goal of achieving net zero emissions, while Manchester Museum leverages its extensive collections and the "Wild" exhibition to raise public awareness of biodiversity and the climate crisis.

Additionally, Morien Rees, Chair of ICOM´s International Committee on Museums and Sustainable Development, Yi-Chun Wang, Acting Director of National Museum of History, and Bi-Lin Chen, Director of the Lanyang Museum in Yilan, will join this international dialog. They will share their leadership experiences in advancing climate action within cultural institutions and explore the potential for developing sustainable strategies for museums in Taiwan through cross-border exchange and collaboration.

2021年由英國國家劇院製作與技術總監Paul Handley和劇場建築師Paddy Dillon發起，首部為了對環境負責而訂定的永續指引《劇場綠皮書》（Theatre Green Book）應運而生，翻轉了表演藝術當前製作流程的思維，至今已被翻譯成10種語言，更受到各國劇院、藝術節慶及表演團隊廣泛採用，表演藝術聯盟也接下台灣版翻譯的重責大任。

為了讓使用者更易於追蹤管理進度與成果，今年年中《劇場綠皮書》第二版在英國及歐洲正式發布。本次論壇將由發起人Paddy Dillon與Lisa Burger親自主持，串聯台灣、蘇格蘭、歐洲和澳洲各地綠皮書的夥伴們一同來討論《劇場綠皮書》在地化的實踐經驗與挑戰。

The Theatre Green Book has become an essential guide for the global theatre community in its pursuit of sustainable development, with localized applications in many countries around the world. Covering aspects from energy use and material selection to waste management and building planning, this guide provides theatre professionals with practical steps for action. To make it easier for theatre professionals to improve recycling rates and reduce carbon emissions, Theatre Green Book 2.0 has streamlined the extensive textual explanations into a form-based format, allowing users to more easily track and manage their sustainability efforts.

The Performing Arts Alliance has also taken on the important task of translating the Taiwan edition. To make it easier for users to track and manage progress and outcomes, the second edition of the Theatre Green Book was officially released in the UK and Europe in mid-year. This forum will be personally hosted by its initiators, Paddy Dillon and Lisa Burger, bringing together partners from Taiwan, Scotland, Europe, and Australia to discuss the localized practices and challenges of implementing the Theatre Green Book.

本場次邀請具28年歐盟永續發展政策和決策、溝通、研發和教學專業經驗，目前任教於義大利波隆納大學（University of Bologna）經濟系Eric Ponthieu, Ph.D教授分享其在歐盟永續政策研究，以及Julie’s Bycicle聯合總監Natalie Highwood和英國藝術委員會環境責任與創新部門總監Nicola Saunders和資深經理Feimatta Conteh，分享各自在推動永續文化政策的經驗。

As global voices continue to call for "culture as the core of sustainable development," the sustainable development of the arts urgently needs the guidance and support of cultural policies, especially in Taiwan.

This session invites Professor Eric Ponthieu, Ph.D., who has 28 years of professional experience in EU sustainable development policy, decision-making, communication, research, and teaching. He currently teaches in the Department of Economics at the University of Bologna, Italy. Professor Ponthieu will share his expertise in EU sustainability policy research, communication, and evaluation. Additionally, Natalie Highwood, Co-Director of Julie's Bicycle, and Nicola Saunders, Director of Environmental Responsibility and Innovation at Arts Council England, along with Feimatta Conteh, Senior Manager of Environmental Responsibility at Arts Council England, will share their experiences in advancing sustainable cultural policies.

From Taiwan, Deputy Magistrate Wang Chih-Hui of Taitung County and Senior Analyst Cheng Ruei-He from the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research will share Taiwan’s experience. This forum aims to provide insights for future cultural policy development, fostering social consensus and driving innovative change.

我們榮幸地邀請到國際博物館協會國際博物館與永續發展委員會主席Morien Rees，為大家帶來專題演講「國際博物館協會對於2030以後的永續未來與轉型正義願景」，深入探討文化在全球永續發展議程中所扮演的關鍵角色。

Morien Rees 將分享 ICOM 如何在聯合國《2030年永續發展議程》的框架下，推動文化與博物館的永續發展。演講還將介紹挪威國家美術館的薩米藝術家布里塔·馬拉卡特-拉巴的回顧展，探討原住民視角的環境與氣候議題如何融入全球博物館社群，推動博物館成為永續發展的核心力量。

As more artists and organizations jump into climate action, culture is gaining recognition as a key player in sustainability. We’re thrilled to have Morien Rees, Chair of the ICOM International Committee for Museum and Sustainable Development, delivering a keynote titled "ICOM and a Just Transition to a Sustainable Future. Toward 2030 and Beyond." He’ll dive into how culture plays a vital role in the global push for sustainability.

Rees will share how ICOM is leading the charge in making museums and culture part of the UN's Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. Plus, he’ll highlight an inspiring exhibition of Sámi artist Britta Marakatt-Labba at the Norwegian National Museum, showing how indigenous perspectives on climate and environment are shaping the future of museums and sustainability.
