As another remarkable school year comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire TAS community.

The generosity, involvement, and spirit of our parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends continue to strengthen our school in countless ways. Through your support of the Tiger Annual Fund, students benefit from meaningful opportunities, enriching experiences, and the resources that help make TAS such a special place to learn and grow.

We invite you to take a moment to watch this short video celebrating the impact of your support and the difference our community makes together.

Thank you for being part of the TAS story! 💙💛

We are incredibly proud to celebrate TAS alumna Lin King ’12, who, together with author Yang Shuang-zi, has received the International Booker Prize 2026 for Taiwan Travelogue, marking a historic achievement as the first novel translated from Mandarin Chinese to receive the award!

This moment feels especially meaningful to our community. Just this past December, we had the honor of welcoming Lin back to campus alongside Yang Shuang-zi for a student-led literary conversation with parents, students, alumni, faculty, and friends of TAS.

Our community came together for a student-led literary conversation that explored literature, translation, history, identity, food, and the many ways Taiwan’s stories continue to be told. Through bilingual interviews and thoughtful questions, TAS students invited deeper reflection on whose voices shape history and how literature can help us see familiar stories in new ways.

Lin King shared how translation became more than transferring words. It became an act of preserving complexity, honoring context, and helping readers experience Taiwan’s multilingual and multicultural realities. Yang Shuang-zi reflected on literature’s ability to revisit history, challenge assumptions, and ask enduring questions about identity, belonging, and the future.

Now, seeing their work recognized on one of the world’s most respected literary stages feels both inspiring and deeply personal.

Congratulations to Yang Shuang-zi and to our own Lin King ’12 on this extraordinary achievement. Thank you for reminding us that stories matter, language matters, and that voices from Taiwan belong on the global stage!

When we say you’ll always have a home here, we mean it. 💙💛

Our Always a Tiger Tour home stop in Taipei was once again a reminder of just how strong the TAS community continues to be. It was so meaningful to reconnect with familiar faces, hear old stories shared again, and see alumni from different generations come back together in the same space. Some alumni even flew back to Taiwan just to be part of the gathering, which made it feel even more special.

At TAS, the community has always been at the heart of who we are. We take great pride in seeing how the relationships built here extend far beyond a student’s years on campus and continue across cities, countries, and generations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to carry the Tiger spirit wherever you go. We’re already looking forward to continuing the journey with next year’s Always a Tiger Tour and hopefully seeing many of you again very soon! 🐯

It was so wonderful to see so many students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends out enjoying this year’s PTA Spring Fair today. From games and performances to food, laughter, and countless moments of connection, campus was filled with the kind of cheerful energy that reminds us what makes our TAS community so special.

A huge thank you to our incredible PTA, parent volunteers, student volunteers, performers, facilities and operations teams, and everyone who helped make the day possible. Thank you, Tigers, for another unforgettable Spring Fair!

SEE YOU TOMORROW! 💙 While the water park attractions have been cancelled due to weather and safety concerns, the PTA Spring Fair is still happening tomorrow with amended activities across campus!

There will still be plenty of Tiger spirit, including games, performances, food, shopping, inflatables, and wonderful moments together as a community. Thank you for your understanding and support. We can’t wait to welcome you tomorrow!

Just one week away! That’s all that’s left until we come back together in Taipei.

For many of us, TAS is more than a place we went to school. It’s where friendships took root, where we found our voice, where pieces of who we are today began. And somehow, no matter how far we’ve gone, those connections stay.

Next Thursday, we get to step back into that feeling. Familiar faces, easy conversations, and the kind of moments that remind you… you never really left.

Thursday, May 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Check your inbox for details and RSVP.

If you’ve been thinking about it, this is your sign. Come by, even just for a bit. We’d really love to see you there!

Tokyo alumni, it was so good to see you! 🐯

Our Always a Tiger Tour stop brought together familiar faces, new connections, and plenty of shared stories. Alumni from across generations, from the Class of 1979 through 2025, came together in one space, and it felt easy to pick up right where things left off. Thank you for the warmth, the energy, and for making the evening what it was.

You asked where we’re headed next… we’re coming home - Taipei! Can't wait to see so many of you soon!
