The first-ever US-Taiwan trade initiative officially took effect, marking a major milestone in strengthening our economic partnership! This agreement covers customs, trade facilitation, anti-corruption, and small business support, and it’s only the beginning. 🌏✨

As NCCU students, we’re witnessing the growth of not just academic exchange but global trade opportunities. Taiwan and the US are already working on a second agreement focusing on labor, environmental sustainability, and agriculture. 🌱🌍

NCCU Hosts a Historic Meeting with Ma Ying-jeou and Ma Long! 🏓🌏

Former President Ma Ying-jeou and Olympic table tennis champion Ma Long met at NCCU’s Daxian Library for a discussion on cross-strait relations, sharing insights and fostering dialogue. Afterward, they headed to Chinese Culture University (CCU) to play a friendly game of table tennis, strengthening cultural and sporting ties between Taiwan and China. 🎓🏓

This visit showcases NCCU’s role as a hub for impactful conversations and events that bring together leaders, athletes, and diplomats for collaboration and exchange.

Canada’s House of Commons just passed a motion clarifying that UN Resolution 2758 does NOT establish China’s sovereignty over Taiwan, affirming support for Taiwan’s global participation! This step is part of Canada’s growing relationship with Taiwan, covering everything from economic and cultural exchanges to education and youth programs.
