On the last day of the term, our G1 teacher pushed the desks and chairs aside and turned the classroom into a dance floor—the perfect way to wrap up the term with lots of fun!

As soon as the music started, the children danced to the beat, showing off their own moves and having a blast. 💃

But they had to listen carefully—the moment the music stopped, everyone had to freeze! Some froze right where they were, while others quickly sat down. Move too late or wiggle after the music stopped, and you were out! 😆

Round after round, the classroom was filled with laughter and cheers. The place where the children usually learn together had turned into their very own Disco Party for the day!

After working hard all term, there was no better way to spend the last day than moving, laughing, and having fun together. 💙




學季的最後一天，G1老師決定先把課桌椅推到兩旁，讓教室空出一個大大的舞池，一起用最歡樂的方式為這個學季畫下句點！

音樂一播放，孩子們立刻跟著節奏大跳Disco，想怎麼跳就怎麼跳，每個人都有自己的招牌舞步。💃
但是耳朵可不能只顧著聽音樂——音樂一停，馬上變成木頭人！
有人瞬間定格，有人趕緊坐下，只要慢了一步或忍不住動了一下，就要被淘汰啦！😆

隨著一輪又一輪進行，教室裡不斷傳來笑聲和歡呼聲。平常一起上課的空間，這一天變成了孩子們最開心的 Disco Party！

努力了一整個學季，最後一天就好好放鬆、盡情動一動吧！💙

For the final swimming lesson of the term, our students took on one last challenge—a swimming assessment to see how much they had grown since their very first class!

After a full term of practicing strokes, improving technique, and building confidence in the water, the progress was easy to see. 👏 Some students could swim farther, some had much stronger technique, and others simply felt more comfortable and confident in the pool.

This wasn’t about who could swim the fastest. It was about looking back and realizing, “Wow, I can do so much more now!” 💙

And what better way to wrap up a great term in the pool than with one big, happy group photo? 📸




這個學季的最後一堂游泳課，老師為孩子們準備了一次小小的游泳測驗，看看經過一整個學季的練習，大家進步了多少！

從一開始熟悉水性、練習基本動作，到一次次調整姿勢、慢慢掌握游泳技巧，每個孩子都用自己的速度一步步向前進。

到了最後的測驗，最開心的是看到大部分的孩子和第一堂課相比，都有非常明顯的進步！👏 有人動作更穩定了、有人可以游得更遠，也有人比以前更有自信地完成挑戰。

這次測驗不是要比較誰游得最快，而是讓孩子親自看看自己的改變，大聲告訴自己：「我真的進步了這麼多！」 💙

最後，當然要用一張開心的大合照，為這個學季的游泳課留下最完美的收尾！📸

A battleship has been lost in the currents of time. All that remains is its last known location—and a broken distress signal coming through from somewhere beyond the horizon…

We need a search and rescue team.

This time, the Naval General Officers’ Quarters becomes our gateway through time, where commanders from the past will lead our young rescuers on a mission into unknown waters!

Horizon Academy Secondary School is calling all young explorers to join this adventure. As members of the Blue Horizon Search & Rescue Team, students will receive their mission instructions entirely in English and work together to solve each challenge. 🌊

📡 Locate the Signal | Read radar data and coordinates to pinpoint the battleship’s last known position
🚁 Plan the Rescue | Analyse air and sea vehicles and choose the best rescue strategy before time runs out
🛠️ Build the Supply Vessel | Design, test, and improve a vessel strong enough to take on the waves
🔦 Decode the Message | Listen for Morse code and use UV light to uncover hidden intelligence

There are no ready-made answers on this mission. Students will need to observe, calculate, reason, make decisions, build, test, and work as a team to follow the clues and find the missing battleship.

The final signal has been detected…

一艘戰艦迷失在時空的洪流中，只留下最後的座標，以及斷斷續續的求救訊號……

現在，我們需要一支搜救隊。

這一次，海軍將官官舍將化身時空傳送門，昔日的將領們將帶領孩子穿越時空，循著留下的線索，前往未知海域展開救援！

新視野中學部正式召集小小搜救隊員，一起加入這場跨越時空的冒險。孩子將成為 Blue Horizon Search & Rescue Team 的一員，全程以英語接受任務指令，一步步破解危機！🌊

For this term’s G4 French showcase, our students performed a well-loved French classic—“Les Champs-Élysées”!

As soon as the familiar melody began, the children swayed from side to side, added fun hand gestures, and confidently sang the French lyrics they had been practicing. 🎤

From learning the song and working on their pronunciation to finally performing it on stage, the children did more than simply learn a French song. Through music, they got a feel for the rhythm and sound of the language while enjoying the experience of expressing themselves in French.

The more they sang, the bigger their smiles became—and before long, the audience couldn’t help swaying along too! 💙

這次 G4 的法文成果發表，孩子們帶來了一首大家耳熟能詳的經典法文歌曲——〈Les Champs-Élysées〉！

熟悉的旋律一響起，孩子們跟著節奏左右搖擺，搭配可愛又有默契的手勢，自信地唱出一句句練習已久的法文歌詞。🎤

從一開始認識歌曲、練習發音與歌詞，到最後站上台完整演出，孩子們不只是「學會一首法文歌」，也在音樂中感受法文的節奏與語感，享受用另一種語言表達自己的樂趣。

看著大家越唱越投入，臉上的笑容也越來越燦爛，台下的我們也忍不住跟著旋律一起搖擺！💙

Just before Father’s Day, our students made a special color-changing card to take home to someone they love.

Using two transparent sheets, the children carefully colored, traced, and assembled their cards. At first, the picture looked like a simple black-and-white drawing—but as they slowly pulled up the inner sheet, something magical happened! The picture suddenly came to life with beautiful colors. 🌈

The children were amazed by their own little “magic trick” and couldn’t wait to bring their handmade cards home.
We’re sure the dads who received these cards could feel just how much love and thought went into every one. 🥰

Father’s Day may have passed, but there’s never a wrong time to say “Thank you” and “I love you” to Dad.

Because our love and appreciation for Dad are worth celebrating every day. 💙




父親節前夕，老師帶著孩子們親手製作了一張特別的「變色父親節卡片」，準備把滿滿的心意帶回家送給最愛的家人。

利用兩片透明片，孩子們先仔細塗色、描邊，再一步步完成組裝。看起來只是一張簡單的卡片，但當內頁慢慢往上拉——神奇的事情發生了！原本只有線條的圖案，瞬間染上繽紛的色彩！🌈

看到自己做出的「變色魔法」，孩子們又驚喜又興奮，也迫不及待想把這份親手完成的禮物帶回家。相信收到卡片的爸爸們，一定能感受到藏在裡面的滿滿心意！🥰

雖然父親節已經過了，但孩子想對爸爸說的「謝謝」和「我愛你」，可不只有父親節這一天。

對爸爸的愛與祝福，每一天都不會過期。💙

When our students began learning about symmetry in math, the lesson went beyond shapes and lines of symmetry. This time, they put the concept into action by folding paper airplanes!

Starting with a simple fold down the middle, students carefully compared both sides, adjusted the size and angle of the wings, and discovered how symmetry plays an important role in a plane’s structure and balance.

They also took on the challenge of making multi-layered paper airplanes. By folding multiple layers of paper, they added thickness and weight to the body and nose of the plane. Then came the best part—testing them out to see how steadily and how far they could fly! ✈️

Through folding, comparing, adjusting, and test-flying, an idea from the math textbook became something students could actually see and experience.

Who knew math could be folded, tested…and even flown? 💙




數學課學到「對稱」，除了看圖形、找對稱軸，還能怎麼理解呢？這次老師直接讓孩子們動手摺起紙飛機！

從紙張對折開始，孩子們一步步觀察左右兩側的形狀與位置，調整機翼的大小與角度，從實際操作中理解「對稱」如何影響紙飛機的結構與平衡。

這次孩子們還挑戰了多層紙飛機，透過紙張層層摺疊，增加機身與機頭的厚度，再實際試飛，看看自己的飛機能不能保持穩定、飛得更遠。✈️

原本課本裡的數學概念，在一次次的摺疊、比較與試飛中變得具體又有趣。孩子們不只「看見」對稱，更親手把對稱做出來，最後還能讓它真的飛上天空！

數學原來不只可以算，還可以摺、可以試，甚至可以飛！💙

Choosing a secondary school isn’t just about the next three years—it’s about where those years can lead.

We hope students can use their secondary years to discover their strengths, explore their interests, experience different ways of learning, and connect with international education as they begin to find the path that suits them best.

Not every child needs to follow the same path. What matters is having the confidence and ability to choose their own.

On August 22, we invite parents and students to Horizon Academy Secondary School. While parents learn more about our approach to secondary education and future academic pathways, students will take on a special mission of their own—

🌊 Operation Blue Horizon

Students will become members of the Blue Horizon Search & Rescue Team, taking on four challenges entirely in English:

📡 Mission 1｜Locating the Final Signal
Read radar maps, trace routes, and use latitude and longitude to pinpoint the final signal.

🚁 Mission 2｜Planning the Rescue Operation
Compare the speed, range, and travel time of different air and sea vehicles, then work as a team to plan the best rescue strategy.

🚢 Mission 3｜Building the Supply Vessel
Choose essential rescue supplies and build a supply vessel through a hands-on STEM challenge of designing, testing, and improving.

📻 Mission 4｜Decoding the Final Message
Listen to Morse code, decode the distress message, and complete the rescue mission!

From language and mathematics to logical thinking, hands-on problem-solving, and teamwork, students will experience a different way of learning through one exciting mission. ✨

“What characters have the 人(person) radical?” “How many can we find with 口(mouth)?”

Chinese class turned into a lively challenge for our G2 students as they took on a Chinese Radical Character Competition!

The teacher wrote several radicals on the board, and the students worked in teams to search through their textbooks, discuss ideas, and find as many matching Chinese characters as they could. Some searched for characters, some double-checked the answers, while others hurried to the board to write them down and earn another point for their team!

Along the way, students discovered just how many different characters can share the same radical. They also learned that radicals are more than just parts of a character—they can offer useful clues for recognizing, organizing, and understanding Chinese characters.

Turning character practice into a friendly competition made review much more exciting. The students were busy searching, thinking, writing, and working together—and had plenty of fun along the way! 💙




「人部有哪些字？」「口部還可以想到什麼？」

這堂國語課，G2的孩子們不只是坐在座位上寫國字，而是來了一場熱鬧的 部首國字競賽！

老師先在白板上列出不同的部首，孩子們分組翻找課本、和同學討論，把學過的國字一個個找出來，再趕快寫到對應的部首下面。有人負責找字、有人負責確認、有人衝到白板前寫答案，大家忙著分工合作，想替自己的小組多拿下一分！

在尋找國字的過程中，孩子們也慢慢發現，同一個部首可以延伸出好多不同的字，而部首不只是國字的一部分，也是認識字義、整理國字的重要線索。

把原本需要反覆練習的國字變成一場競賽，孩子們找得認真、寫得起勁，也在一來一往的挑戰中，把學過的國字又複習了一遍！💙

This Historic Monuments Day, Horizon invites families to step inside the historic Naval General Officers' Quarters for a special Secondary Education Talk.

The transition from elementary to secondary school brings much more than changes in subjects and coursework. It is also a time when students begin to discover who they are, become more independent, and think about the direction they want to take.

What kind of education is right for your child? What skills and experiences will they need to navigate a rapidly changing world?

This time, we're taking the conversation beyond the classroom. Surrounded by history, we'll sit down together to talk about learning, growing up, and how we can prepare our children for the future.

Families are also invited to experience the historic setting and discover its architecture and stories—bringing the past, present, and future together in one meaningful afternoon. 🌱

今年古蹟日，新視野邀請家長走進充滿歷史記憶的 海軍將官官舍，參加一場特別的中學教育分享會。

當孩子從小學走向中學，面對的不只是課程與學習方式的改變，也開始進入探索自我、建立方向的重要階段。該如何選擇適合孩子的教育？面對快速改變的世界，中學階段又該為孩子準備哪些能力？

🏙️ Math Meets Architecture! 當數學與建築相遇！📐

What is building coverage ratio? And what exactly does floor area ratio mean? These are terms that even adults sometimes have to stop and think about—but this time, they became part of our students’ math lesson!

Our math teacher brought real-world architecture into the classroom, starting with the concept of area. Students explored how much space a piece of land provides, how much of that land can be used for a building, and how different ratios can change the size and design of a building.

Then it was time to put the numbers into action! Using a given land area and set of requirements, students calculated, planned, and designed their own buildings before turning their ideas into 3D models. Suddenly, the numbers and measurements from math class became something they could actually see and build. 🏠

At the End-of-Term Showcase, students proudly presented their models to their parents, explaining their calculations and the ideas behind their designs.

From working out the numbers to building something of their own, students discovered how math connects to the world around them—and how much fun it can be! 📐




「建蔽率是什麼？容積率又代表什麼？」這些連大人有時都要想一下的名詞，這次成了孩子們數學課上的有趣挑戰！

數學老師將生活中的建築概念帶進課堂，從「面積」開始，引導孩子了解一塊土地有多大、建築物可以使用多少土地，以及不同的比例會如何影響建築空間。

認識概念後，當然要實際動手試試看！孩子們根據老師設定的土地面積與條件，開始計算、規劃，再把自己的想法做成立體建築模型。原本課本裡的數字和面積，就這樣一步步變成看得見、摸得到的作品。🏠

到了成果發表，孩子們將親手完成的建築帶到家長面前，分享自己的計算方式與設計想法。從「算出答案」到「真的蓋出來」，數學也變得更貼近生活、更有意思！

下次走在街上看到不同高矮、大小的建築時，說不定孩子們已經開始偷偷觀察：「這棟房子的建蔽率是多少呢？」📐
