PeggyTeachesChinese PeggyTeachesChinese is a YouTube channel with 32.4K subscribers and over 330 language-learning lessons. I was born and raised in Taoyuan Taiwan.

Most people know me as Peggy Lee, but Li Jia-Hui (李家慧) is my Chinese name. When I was a student of English language in 2009, I taught English to Taiwanese adults and tutored Mandarin to expats in Taiwan. Inspired by this unique intercultural experience, I founded PeggyTeachesChinese - an online learning platform that offers free Chinese-learning videos and online tutoring service. I received my Ma

ster’s degree in Chinese as a Second Language from National Taiwan Normal University. I have taught Chinese online to hundreds of students worldwide and in the classroom, first as a Fulbright fellow at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith in Arkansas, and then as a lecturer at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. There are currently over 240 videos on my YouTube channel. My videos are free to be viewed by anyone who is interested in Chinese language and culture. I also create supplementary study materials (audio and pdf worksheets) for these YouTube lessons. Materials are available for download on my Patreon.
