HeyRunning at Beat the Sunset Race! 🌅🏆
What a blast on Saturday! Over 20 of us crushed the Beat the Sunset race! Our HeyRunning quad teams swept the podium, dominating the Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed categories. Jérémie didn’t just help his team win, he shattered the course record (and the timing system!) by smashing under 14 minutes on that technical lap.
In the solo category, Soon and Austin brought the heat. Austin was this close to victory, edged out by a dramatic last-lap overtake. Yet, it was a perfect prep for the Formosa Trail ahead!
Shoutout to our amazing volunteers and organizers Runivore 跑食族: Lee, Chantal, Tom, and Patrick for pouring in their time and positive vibes.
Think HeyRunning is just for elites? Think again! We’re absolutely open to everyone, whether you’re chasing PRs, building fitness, or forging meaningful connections. These wins inspire us all to push limits or just lace up and run. Join our weekly training sessions and see for yourself what you're capable of! 🏃♂️

Want to run like a champion? Or just improve your fitness?
Join our HeyRunners for regular training sessions and see how far you can go! With dedication, you can achieve results just as impressive as our runners who shone at the Sky Hunter trail race.
This weekend, our HeyRunners shone brightly at the Sky Hunter trail race, with strong representation in the 6k, 13k, and 30k events. Congratulations to everyone for racing through the intense heat!
Our HeyRunning teenagers were especially impressive. Kiddo (14 and already dominating adult races!) took 1st place among females in the 6k, while Elias secured 4th, closely followed by his two younger brothers. Jérémie delivered an outstanding performance, finishing 2nd in a highly competitive 13k, with his dad a bit further down in 5th. Sophie placed 7th among females in the 13k, and Anne took 8th in the 30k. For his first longer trail race, Tomas excelled, finishing 7th in the fiercely competitive 30k. Also, great job, Thibault, Cindy, Austin, Aris, and Romain!
A huge thank you to our volunteers: Itarn, Jean, Lucy, and Elzanne for their invaluable support at the aid stations. These races wouldn’t be possible without you! And special thanks to our supporters, Jerry and Rafael, for cheering on the runners!

Congratulations to all the runners who climbed Taipei 101 tower on Saturday!
Special note to Jérémie for climbing the tower in the impressive time of 13:27 and finishing #8 out of 5,000 participants and just a few seconds behind Taiwan's champion. Very impressive and inspiring for a 15 year old teenager. And well done to Hyon as a female contestant in 18:03!

It was a busy weekend for HeyRunners!
Over 20 HeyRunners and their family members took on the Explore Your Backyard trail race on Saturday! For some, it was their first trail race and a great way to experience trail running. For others, it was a chance to push their limits, and yes, they did deliver.
HeyRunning dominated the podiums!
- Tom crushed the brutal 31km, taking 2nd place, just behind Taiwan’s champion! Soon, Thibault and JP completed the race successfully too. Despite a bad fall, Dom managed to complete the race and we wish him a prompt recovery!
- Patrick powered to 4th in the 21km, strong work!
- Jérémie absolutely owned the 13km, finishing 11 minutes ahead of 2nd place! His dad, Yann, also podiumed in 3rd. Arnaud, Chantal, Betty all seemed to have enjoyed the race :)
- And the 7km? The podium was swept by a whole HeyRunners' family with a little help from Tudor, how cool is that? Piet was busy cycling but he was well represented by his family with his son ending up strong too.
Huge thanks to our dedicated volunteers: Itarn, Austin, and Clayton for helping make the race a success. And a massive shoutout to Tomasz for organizing this incredible event (and the post-race celebration!). We know how much work goes into it and you delivered it!
Not just trails! At least 3 HeyRunners tackled HYROX Taipei. Awesome job on your first HYROX! Tomas, Hugo, Stephen, Christian
And our two runners-turned-cyclists, Aris & Piet, took on the Tour of East Taiwan. Well done! Especially with the weather that wasn't too much on your side!
Time to recover strong—see you all on Thursday for our usual session!

20-Feb-2025 HeyRunning session! 🙌
Perfect weather for a great run! Even with grey skies and cooler temps, our HeyRunning crew showed up strong and ready to push limits.
After a warm-up (2 laps around the park), Coach Yann led us through a Tabata session, 3 sets of 4 minutes each, alternating 20 seconds of intense work with 10 seconds of rest. We focused on key running muscles like calves, quads, and core.
Coach Austin dropped some wisdom on the importance of speed work at a high heart rate and how much it should fit with a slow long distance running. For best running improvement results on most people, the formula should be: 85% of training should be in Zone 2 (low heart rate), and only 15% in Zones 4-5 (high intensity). Then, we hit the track for a 20-minute session of 400m fast runs + 200m recovery jogs. Everyone gave their best, and we saw some amazing progress! 👏
To finish, we cooled down with a slow jog and a relaxing stretch session with Chantal. And of course, post-run drinks & snacks at FamilyMart!
Want to run, have fun, and improve? Join us next Thursday at 7:25 PM at Tianmu Baseball Stadium Park! See you there! 🙌

HeyRunners at the Sun Moon Lake Marathon!
Today’s race was a beautiful 29km loop around Sun Moon Lake in central Taiwan, with great weather and amazing views. The course wasn’t easy, with 400m of elevation to climb!
Piet took his time enjoying the first 5km, snapping pictures before picking up the pace and finally finishing 23rd out of 1,124 runners. Anne finished 1st in her age group. Itarn placed in the top 20 overall and 3rd in his category while Sophie placed 3rd in her age group. All great results!
Big congratulations to them and all the runners for their effort today! 🙌

13-Feb-2025 HeyRunning session! 🙌
Chilly start? Yes, when we warmed up running around the park. But that didn’t last long! Coach Yann had us fired up with a strength session using ladders and cones that were previously donated to our HeyRunning community by Karen (big thanks to her all the way to France!). The strength work hit all the key muscle groups (calves, quads, and more), and let’s just say... some of us might be feeling it for a few days. 😅
Then, it was interval time with Coach Tom! We hit the track for 200m fast, 200m jog, 400m fast, 200m jog, on repeat for 20 minutes. Those intervals made heart rates go up and improve the long term speed of our runners. Finding a running partner to push the pace made it even better. Speed work like this is essential for long-term improvements, and it's a key part of the HeyRunning 6S method: Speed, Stride technique, Strength, Stamina endurance with long slow distance runs, Stretching and Smiling! Follow the right mix, and you’ll see serious progress!
We wrapped up with Coach Itarn’s stretching session, because recovery and injury avoidance matter as much as training. And of course, post-run social time at the nearby FamilyMart for some well-earned proteins, drinks and... snacks!
Looking to level up your running? Whether it’s just for fitness or for some serious performance, join us next Thursday at 7:25 PM at Tianmu Baseball Stadium Park! See you there! 🙌

6-Feb-2025 HeyRunning session! 🙌
Another perfect evening for running! We kicked things off with an awesome session led by Coach Jenny, who kept us on our toes, literally! Going barefoot on the artificial grass, we mixed strength, stretching, yoga, and balance work, making for a unique and creative warm-up for our legs, core and upper body. Not only did it engage our muscles in a different way, but it also saved some cardio energy for what was coming next...
Then came the hardest push: 800m interval repeats, with a static 2-minute rest between each. Everyone pushed hard, great job! Special shoutout to Stéphane and Jérémie, who took things up a notch and added extra reps at the end. These interval sessions are key for improving running speed and VO2 max, and it’s amazing to see so many HeyRunners improving their races' performance thanks to the hard work in the intervals!
We wrapped it all up with a relaxing stretch session led by Jenny once again, the perfect way to recover. Thanks to everyone who joined, and see you all next Thursday at 7:25 PM! Let’s keep the momentum going! 🙌

30-Jan-2025 HeyRunning session! 🙌 HeyRunning Kicked Off the Year of the Snake in Style!
For our first HeyRunning session of the Year of the Snake, we went for a dynamic and snake-inspired workout!🐍
We warmed up slithering like snakes with zigzag jumps, followed by running in line and playing Catch the Snake Head! Then came cobra jumps and viper sprints, adding speed and agility to the mix.
Our strength session brought some intensity with the Rattlesnake Reaction Drill, testing our reflexes and quick movements. We then took a break before heading to the intervals.
Everyone did great during the 20 minutes intervals and we were surprised to see some very fast young blood catching up with more experienced runners!
To wrap up, we focused on recovery and stretching, and of course, we couldn’t skip the cobra stretch, a perfect way to end the session.
All in all, a lovely evening running and pushing! Well done everyone! 🙌
