【關於投資，我最不後悔的一筆支出：回憶複利】

最近讀到 Morgan Housel 的新書The Art of Spending Money，書中關於「回憶複利」（Compounding Memories）的概念讓我反思許久。
他認為，金錢的最高價值，是讓我們換取有意義的體驗。因為這些體驗在未來數十年裡，會透過不斷的回味，在心中產生像複利般的心理回報。

這十年來，帶著小孩走過許多地方。這筆支出如果放在帳面上，或許是一筆驚人的數字，但若從人生的長度來看，我認為這是一筆回報率最高的投資。

在我 20 歲的時候便體悟了：「欲買桂花同載酒，終不似，少年遊。」

那種心境與體力的黃金期，是任何金錢都買不回來的差價。
尤其是孩子長大的速度快得驚人，我還記得第一次帶他去歐洲時，他才一歲多。當時我沒想過以後能每年都帶他去歐洲，總覺得要把握當下，一下子排了好多行程。

那趟旅程我們轉了六趟飛機，坐了好幾趟火車，還搭了船，一路從 Roma、Siena、Venice 跑到 Prague。

現在回頭看，如果再給我選一次，我大概沒體力這樣飛了，但當時那種「少年遊」的衝勁，成了我跟先生回憶庫裡第一筆最厚實的存款。

這十年間，我們不斷在這些「帶不走的財富」中進場：

在埃及： 出發前大家都說騙子多，孩子確實忐忑。但實際走過十天，他學會了這世界不只有善良的人，但也不必把每個人都當成騙子。那種對複雜社會的判斷力，是課本給不了的。

在巴黎： 這裡一點都不像傳聞中那麼冷淡，反而對孩子極其友善。大家一起窩在博物館看展覽，嘗試各種美食。那些溫暖的城市氣息，實實在在地長進了他們的成長記憶裡。

在龍目島： 只因為聽到版友的分享，轉頭就訂機票飛往那片靜謐的無人沙灘。這種隨興而至的行動力，成了我們家最限量的收藏。

很多人會問，花這麼多預算帶小孩出國值得嗎？

豪瑟在書中說：「人們習慣盯著投資複利看，卻很難想像用金錢換取時間所累積的回憶複利，其結果同樣驚人。」
資產的價值會隨市場起伏，但這十年累積的回憶，是任何市場波動都無法奪走的「硬資產」。

這筆錢沒有消失，只是變成了孩子性格裡的底氣，變成了全家人聚餐時聊不完的故事。趁著還能「載酒同遊」的時候，把錢花在這些帶不走的回憶上....
