Red Mage Tutors Hello. My name is Steve. I'm a man of many different interests and pursuits, education being one that I am very passionate about.

Red Mage Tutors offers a variety of different learning environments to provide your child with fun, practical lessons that also provide language learning through English instruction. My experiences from primary school through adulthood, college, and across various jobs and career moves have granted me many different valuable experiences which have all contributed to my abilities as an educator. My

experience as an educator began as a young man of 18, volunteering to coach my town's youth soccer team. After years of college and different positions in my career, I also began to substitute teach, which eventually turned into a long term position, allowing me to take over a class for essentially the entire school year. Not satisfied with the school system but still wanting to work in education, I decided to try teaching abroad, and have been teaching English for the past 3 years here in Taiwan. In my lessons, I give my students every bit of energy and focus that I have, everyday. My goal is to provide practical, efficient, and enjoyable education, and hopefully through my various efforts and projects have a positive influence on the way we handle education on a larger scale. Too often our children's learning experiences are made less effective due to numerous factors, such as an unnecessary obsession with grades, overly standardized curriculums and lesson plans, and overcrowded classrooms. Red Mage classes are organized to provide the optimal environment for learning, especially for language acquisition. Small groups provide benefits over both one on one teaching, and large classroom settings. A small group of students means that students can feel more comfortable and at ease having the support of peers, but also they can all receive adequate attention from the teacher. Small group sizes also means that it is much more feasible to put students into peer groups that are best suited for their level, interests, or particular needs.
