Give me a bottle of wine, and I can somehow tell you the whole life story of being a butterfly and moth!

In this week’’s insight BAAS we are going to introduce Zong-Yu Shen (沈宗諭Jeff Shen) our Ph. D candidate and co-author of an illustrated book of Taiwan’s Lepidoptera. Zong-Yu’s research investigates the systematics, evolution, biogeography, and population genetics of moths and butterflies. He is one of the authors of the book “Butterfly Fauna of Taiwan Vol. V” with extraordinary illustrations which has provided a great categorization of Nymphalidae butterflies in Taiwan. Based on curator’s source Zong-Yu also won the “Dr. Sato Entomological taxonomy academic award”, and there's a high chance that butterfly lovers will be able to meet him at this year's International Congress of Entomology in Kyoto. Take a photo with him and tag us!!!
