This week, our students and faculty had the opportunity to learn from Dr. David Huang of SCARLET Tech during an inspiring session on transforming global injury prevention efforts into sustainable and scalable solutions.

Yesterday, the Department of Public Health had the privilege of welcoming Honorary Chair Professor Dr. Jung-Der Wang, recipient of the 7th Presidential Innovation Award, for a special sharing session.
Professor Wang took us through his extraordinary journeyβfrom pioneering research and public health innovation to creating lasting impacts on healthcare policy and population health in Taiwan. Beyond his remarkable achievements, what resonated most was his unwavering commitment to improving lives through science, compassion, and service.

πβ¨ Representing NCKU Public Health on the Global Stage
One of our PhD students attended The Union World Conference on Lung Health 2025 in Copenhagen and presented her research on tuberculosis, sharing insights on the safety and efficacy of linezolid in MDR/RR-TB treatment.
She was also selected for the highly competitive RITβJATA Student Late-Breaker Session, an important recognition of the scientific impact and relevance of her work.
The conference offered a great platform for knowledge exchange and building international research connections with scholars from Taiwan, Indonesia, and beyond.
We are excited to see our students contributing to global TB research and advancing public health through impactful science.
