Learning-Pillar Let's Learn! Hello, my name is Melissa! I have been an EFL Teacher for over 10 years now. I have worked in the classroom and online.

I am creating this channel mainly for friends and family who don't live close, but are interested in letting their children have class with me. The content will be English learning for preschool through elementary. We will cover ABC's, phonics and sight words to start. We will expand as I learn more about creating and editing this type of video, as well as as I learn to adapt me teaching into a mo

re student less environment. Suggestions are always welcome, as well as constructive criticism. I hope that everyone viewing can remain happy and positive.

In Taiwan, rollerblades are frequently translated as roller skates. But in the western world (I confirmed with UK colleagues) , you will more commonly see seperate terms. If you walk into a store asking for roller skates, you will likely be shown the type with two wheels in front and two wheels in back.
If you want a skate with a straight line of 4 wheels, then you need to ask for "roller blades" or "inline skates".

Games are a fun way to learn. Frequently I play the same games with various levels, but I adjust the way we play.
With younger kids, I divide then up into smaller groups and more equally let them play, not pushing the idea of "winner" as I want to encourage all, and at that young age, losing can be a huge discouragement.

But for first graders, when we play, we will collect tokens and see who can get more! At an older age, the idea of winning is a huge encouragnent.
