Turning learning sight words into a game!

Preparing things takes time 😅😅😅
Lots of work to do, everyday to make sure classes go well.

When not in class, prep work continues.
Currently I am making nicer Sight Word flash cards.

In Taiwan, rollerblades are frequently translated as roller skates. But in the western world (I confirmed with UK colleagues) , you will more commonly see seperate terms. If you walk into a store asking for roller skates, you will likely be shown the type with two wheels in front and two wheels in back.
If you want a skate with a straight line of 4 wheels, then you need to ask for "roller blades" or "inline skates".

Games are a fun way to learn. Frequently I play the same games with various levels, but I adjust the way we play.
With younger kids, I divide then up into smaller groups and more equally let them play, not pushing the idea of "winner" as I want to encourage all, and at that young age, losing can be a huge discouragement.

But for first graders, when we play, we will collect tokens and see who can get more! At an older age, the idea of winning is a huge encouragnent.
