[Achiever Age]
為了讓品牌邁向國際化,一個富有極度意義的英文名稱識別是非常重要的。英文中有一個詞,叫 master achiever,指的是那些堅定地尋求成功與幸福的人。他們不論身處怎樣的逆境,就是有辦法達到最終的目標。我們取achiever並將age(世代)融入,希望藉由世代的革新與兩岸的交流,讓此項目孵化的青年設計師們都能成為一個對兩岸文化工藝有渴望成功/

2016藝手匠心正式啟動,經過憩作團隊在余杭各地走訪竹木及布衣工廠,在六月八日正式在from余杭融圖書館正式開跑喔
2016藝手匠心竹X布設計培訓營
藝手匠心設計培訓項目,是餘杭區政府為了讓本地的傳統材質能夠更被認識與探討,從2015年起整合大陸、台灣兩岸設計資源,致力於傳統材質的深度培訓,內容由傳統材質的文化背景至當代的設計分析,都有各領域不同的專家學者來教育。而在2016年度計劃中,更加深入與本地產業做結合,因此導入了堅強的海外專家學者,期望將設計培訓與生活美學做結合,並創造傳統產業轉型的契機。
藝手匠心項目在今年度設計培訓計劃中希望能夠體現:
1. 與台灣設計團隊共同探討交流,提出並分析傳統產業的設計現況與機會。
2. 導入海外師資舉行設計培訓課程講座,傳遞當代設計思維。
3. 藉由不同類型的傳統產業合作,發現復合媒材開發的更多可行性。
4. 由海外師資、台灣設計團隊與接受培訓之本地傳統產業共同設計開發出復合 媒材設計品。

千百年來,竹材及竹編工藝實踐出的生活器具已被用來創造精緻自然的生活形態。我們與工藝師一起創造了這款燈具,將竹編織工藝與現代生活元素相結合,既是對傳統的守護又是對未來生活的展望。
中國傳統的絹面竹骨扇源遠流長,輕風四散,冷然自涼。源於同樣的材料,同樣的骨骼結構,同樣是自然的媒介,如同扇子帶來的輕風,跳躍於空中的竹骨燈,帶著材料、手工藝與設計的美好品質延續于現代生活中,透過具有秩序與節奏感的壓挑編織圖案,將光芒映射在牆面和地面空間。從實體圖案到虛擬光影,這正是我們想創造的歡快的飛舞空間。
In Asia, living goods made of bamboo weaving have been employed to create a natural delicate lifestyle for over a thousand years. We created this lighting fixture in collaboration with bamboo-based hand-woven by craftsman , to fit the modern urban living environment, which preserves the craft’s traditions and develops it for contemporary living and future generations.
The idea was derived from Chinese traditional fan made of bamboo and silk, which carries a feeling of fresh breeze blowing gently. As the fan is the media of air, the design allows the handcrafted shade’s beautiful woven pattern to reflect in the wall and ground space, an idea that hardly originated with us: a flyer was dancing around us to bring out a lively atmosphere, with the quality of material, craft and design.

深流
參數化設計方法已在大尺度的建築設計領域開始展現實力,而這件作品起初是為了探討相同方法能否在小尺度的傳統材料設計實踐之上得以應用。一開始,設計的有機形態完全是用程式類比得出,與現有竹材料設計截然不同。但在之後與工藝家和材料的交互中,這張凳子逐漸增添了許多感性的成分。
不同于傳統工藝的設計方式和情感表達,這件作品並沒有試圖在回憶的溫暖層面上與人產生共鳴,而是拋開固有的竹家居意向,從嶄新的角度探討竹材料、竹工藝的形象。通過看似柔軟的形態,簡單的門式結構單體組合,挑戰竹材性能的極限。以未曾出現過的有機形態設計,創造竹材的嶄新面貌。
Turbulence
Memories take place every single moment, ever changing. That's what being contemporary stands for in my view. People resonate with traditional materials like bamboo for them triggering the old memories, but I tried to break that impression. To craft something new, something may one day fade into a piece of memory that is one of a kind, what's known about bamboo wares couldn’t be given top priority. Instead, limits were pushed and the image of bamboo was questioned and remade.
The Turbulence Stool embraced an avant garde look. The form was first generated with parametric method and then to which was added the gentle touch of a craft artist. Waves peak and soon break. Turbulence doesn't. It wanders under water with curiosity and power. In it lies the beauty and wonder of instability. The same characters of consistency and flexibility, being both soft and aggressive simultaneously, are embodied in bamboo as well. The stool is a frozen moment of the moving turbulence. It was designed as an experiment, but no answer came out. Instead of answers, it provides questions.

結·座
流暢的曲線和交錯的編織,由臺灣孟宗竹特有的柔韌性加上精湛的技藝得以展現。椅面以層層相扣編織的方式呈現,以【萬位元組】的編織方式為單元結構,【萬位元組】屬於中國結,“萬”也常寫作“ 卍”,“ 卍”原為梵文,被視為吉祥萬福之意。以“卍 ”字向四端縱橫延伸互相連鎖作為椅面,椅腿即是編織後的流利的收尾,意味著永恆連綿不斷,繁與簡的巧妙結合讓整張椅子鬆弛有度,落落大方。
KNOT CHAIR
Smooth curves and interlaced weave can be represented with Taiwan Moso unique flexibility and superb artistry. Chair surface is the weave with layers of interlocking, presented in [one million bytes] as the unit. The [one million bytes] is a kind of Chinese Knot. The Chinese character “万” is often written as "卍". “卍” comes from Sanskrit, means luckiness and blessings. The “卍” extends in four-terminal and interlaces as chair face. The fluent trails of weave can be chair legs. This structure conveys the meanings of eternal and continuous. The unique combination of complex and simple makes the chair relaxing and graceful.

籠Lóng
這件作品是從傳統竹寢具“竹夫人”發展而來,在古代人們夏季抱著它,消暑納涼。竹夫人在形態上是一個"籠",籠是編織的鏤空包圍狀。The piece of work is developed from traditional bedding “Bamboo Lady”. In ancient China, people would like to relieve summer heat and enjoy the cool by holding it. Bamboo lady is a" Lóng" in shape, which is waved to be hollowed-out while enclosed.
竹夫人在中國傳統生活中使用普遍,我思考如何讓它重返現代生活,也許它該有新形態,新用途了。所以我將三個竹夫人,即三個“籠”,用解構重組的方法制出一個新的坐具,搭配軟包,在視覺與觸感上產生新的體驗。
As “bamboo lady" is widely used in traditional Chinese life, I’m considering how to apply it to modern lives again. I think it’s time that bamboo lady should appear in new forms and functions. Thus, I applied three bamboo ladies, namely three “Lóng” in the method of deconstructing and reorganizing to make a new seat which could provide new experience both from visual and tactile effects once matched with soft cushion.

首先解釋下作品名稱,英文名由bamboo、臺灣字母tw和team三個字母分別拆解再重新整合。如同設計,分解、擴散、整合。Bamboo是本次活動的核心,而tw和team則是這次交流會給予一位設計者的成長印記。
常常看到各行業設計師大師在書籍上分享游走於各地方對他們的影響。在有幸被選上這次兩岸竹製作的一員而來到臺灣,同樣也被臺灣竹創造的魅力所換腦。從臺灣生活到臺灣文創的表達,設計師和工藝師的合作精神與追求,設計的社會責任與品牌經營的分享都給對於每一位初出茅廬的設計者有著重要影響。
也因此促成了這件作品。在思考這件未成形的作品初期,主要的切入點是能不能發揮竹材在現有的技術下展現出它本身特點的更多可能性。竹包管大家都知道主要應用在竹椅上,這是竹其中魅力之一。作品最初展現出了竹包管內彎與外彎的結合,前所未有。簡潔的幾何體,在彎曲處能看到竹包管的另外一種可能性魅力。以簡潔的形體涵蓋著不同非凡的彎曲美。由於各種因素,還在嘗試階段。如今這件作品減去了內彎,保留了外彎和簡潔的幾何體,增添了包管竹節彎曲美。竹節乃竹子主要形體特徵,但竹節本身的特性不會在彎曲處呈現,作品另一方面在弧線上展現出竹節的魅力,細節耐人尋味。

相生
物與物間有一種相互滋生和助長關係。竹木根於土,養于水。一根竹的生長,離不開自然物質的相扶。一根竹的堅韌,又是萬千纖維的相持築造。單椅全竹板條的結構希望塑造壹種單體間因相生變化而產生的美感。竹條沿著結構線旋轉而縱深變化,不強求外物的支持,板材之間的相互貼合,形成自然的支撐。當與坐面接觸時,意外地,可以感受到竹條彈性的輕柔。在充滿變化的生活中,希望可以回憶起物質與人最原始的相生狀態。常變之道,終歸于自然也。
Relation
There is a mutual breed and foster relationship between each object. For instance, bamboo root in the soil, raising water. Bamboo could not grow without the help from natural substance. Tough a bamboo, but also thousands of fibers stalemate tectonics. We hope to shape a beauty which caused by the changing in inter-monomer. The whole chair is made of bamboo. Rotating depth along the line, plate fits with others and forming a natural support. When in contact with sitting surface, people can feel the soft elasticity of bamboo. Life is full of change,but we still hope to recall a memory between objects and human-being.

簡介:
概念靈感最初源自中國傳統的竹質玩具——平衡鳥。平衡鳥的形態是由三部分穿插而成,輕巧而有趣。同樣該燈具也是由三部分組成,利用竹特有的韌性中部兩兩相互交叉,再用竹釘固定。竹管尾部彎曲的弧度如同鳥兒翅膀撲閃的動態圖像,同時又解決了吊燈引線的困擾。
竹子的質樸與鳥兒的靈動碰撞出這款燈具——蔔鳥之光。它帶著自然的氣息盤旋於室內,陪伴著我們每一天的生活。它不僅是個發光體,更多時候,它是一種生機盎然的點綴,讓我們感受到竹材的溫暖和生命的美好。
Bring nature and lightness home
The simplicity of bamboo and the spirituality of bird give birth to the light—Gleamy Bird. It spirals indoors and brings a sense of nature, accompanying us in our daily life. It is not only a luminary, but also a lively decoration which gives us a true feeling of the warmth of bamboo and the goodness of life.
The initial inspiration of this project derives from a Chinese traditional bamboo toy-the balanced bird. A balanced bird consists of three twining mutually sections, light and interesting. Similarly, the light is also composed of three sections, ultilising the toughness of bamboo to connect with each other with two threads, and bamboo nails are used to fasten the whole body. The curve of the tail of every bamboo pipe seems like a dynamic image of a bird fluttering its wings, at the same time it solves the problem of hiding electric wires.
