🖼️ 展品名稱 | 地震時 during the Earthquake

💡 作品理念 |該作品以鄭成功、府城等著名事物為主題，結合視覺掩蔽錯覺而創作出來，由於台南府城時常地震，使我聯想到與該錯覺的成像需要不斷抖動圖片異曲同工，因而誕生。

✨ 錯覺效果 |該作品的錯覺為視覺掩蔽，使用高對比和明暗的條紋對圖像進行遮擋，使正常狀態下的人眼較難認知到原本的圖像。而抖動時，由於明暗不同以及視覺暫留現象，圖形互相重疊並出現干擾、合併等現象，使得遮擋效果下降而看見原本的圖像。

🖼️ Exhibit Title | Knot of Eras

💡 Concept |This work is based on the themes of famous objects such as Zheng Chenggong and Fucheng, and is created in combination with visual masking illusion. As Tainan often experiences earthquakes, it reminded me of the illusion of constantly shaking the picture, and thus it was born.

✨ Illusion Effect |The illusion of this work is visual masking, which uses high-contrast and light and dark stripes to block the image, making it difficult for the human eye in normal state to perceive the original image. When jittering, due to the difference in brightness and the persistence of vision, the graphics overlap and interfere with each other and merge, which reduces the occlusion effect and allows the original image to be seen.

🖼️ 展品名稱 | 流逝歷史 passing history

💡 作品理念 |該展部分方面與成大歷史系有合作，姑想以成大中相關的歷史文物為主題，不斷流淌的亂碼就像不斷沖刷事物的時間長河，而河中頑石即為我們所見的殘留下來的遺物，暫停即為當下，當局者迷，自然也就無法感知到我們的當下，也是正在創造歷史。

✨ 錯覺效果 | 該作品使用的錯覺結合動態視覺和錯覺輪廓，其核心為人眼對於移動更加敏銳的反應與不自覺的試圖將同一個運動方向、臨近、或輪廓可被填充的物體歸類為一組或一個整體的認知偏好。

🖼️ Exhibit Title | Knot of Eras

💡 Concept |Some aspects of this exhibition are in cooperation with the Department of History of National Cheng Kung University. The theme is the historical relics related to National Cheng Kung University. The constantly flowing garbled code is like the long river of time that constantly washes away things, and the stubborn stones in the river are the remaining relics we see. Pause is the present. Those who are involved are confused, so naturally they cannot perceive our present, and they are also creating history.

✨ Illusion Effect | The illusion used in this work combines dynamic vision and illusory contours. Its core is the human eye's more acute response to movement and the unconscious cognitive preference of trying to classify objects with the same moving direction, proximity, or filled contours as a group or a whole.

🖼️ 展品名稱 | 會呼吸的窗花
💡 作品理念 |
本作品結合「呼吸方塊錯覺」與臺南老屋中常見的鐵窗花圖案，象徵過去家戶對安全與美感的追求。透過旋轉與遮擋的變化，讓靜止的窗花圖形彷彿開始「呼吸」，在錯覺中重新喚起老屋中沉靜卻真實的生命感。
✨ 錯覺效果 |
中央圖形持續旋轉，四角遮擋圖案同步縮放，產生中心圖案正在擴張、收縮的視覺錯覺，儘管它實際上大小從未改變。

🖼️ Exhibit Title | Breathing Grilles
💡 Concept |
This work combines the Breathing Square illusion with traditional window grille patterns commonly found on old houses in Tainan. It symbolizes how security and aesthetics once coexisted in daily life. Through rotation and occlusion, the still window motif appears to "breathe," evoking the quiet vitality hidden in aging architecture.
✨ Illusion Effect |
The central image rotates at a constant speed, while the surrounding corner elements scale in and out. This dynamic creates the false perception that the center is expanding and contracting—though its size never actually changes.

✨ 錯覺效果 | 請先站到指定的地點，在看兩面小西門時，你有發現什麼不一樣嗎？沒錯，你答對了！之所以會有這個錯覺，是因為環境中既有的規律性構成了我們的經驗，而經驗便會使我們以習慣的方式去知覺場景！

*This is merely a demonstration of the visual effect. We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition and experience the full impact of the illusion firsthand.

💡 Concept | Old shadows linger in the walled city; bricks whisper stories of the past. Truth and illusion hide in the turn of a gate, in the face of a wall. What is seen may not exist; what is unseen may be the most real. Reality and illusion coexist with ease— just like Tainan itself, quietly reflecting its unique form between history and the present.

✨ Illusion Effect | Please first stand at the designated spot, and when you look at the two small west gates, do you notice anything different?
The reason for this illusion is that the existing regularities in the environment form our experience, and this experience causes us to perceive the scene in a habitual way!
