【與美國 Laurel Elementary School 🇺🇸的零食交流會】
~ Snacks Exchange with Laurel Elementary School ~

「零食名牌」上中文發音QR Code的發想在我們師長的期末成果交流時大獲好評，未來將被廣泛運用在與其他國家夥伴校進行的此類交流，建立更深刻的「零食外交」!
The idea of pasting the QR Code of the recording of Mandarin pronunciation onto the “Name Cards” for those snacks is so brilliant that we teachers all gave it thumbs up during our experience-sharing session for this semester. We also decided to apply this idea to other future interactions to build more cultural diplomacy!

【Let’s make and taste Aiyu jelly!】
~ 學生體驗洗愛玉籽並品嘗愛玉 ~

感謝聿川老師、小玲老師、琮潾老師、政文老師，
孩子們才有機會在這炎炎夏日體驗親手洗愛玉籽並品嘗沁人心脾的蜂蜜檸檬愛玉，再透過訪問發表感想，記錄成影片分享給我們的斯洛伐克姊妹校🇸🇰。

除了更認識這項堪稱國寶的台灣特有作物，孩子們實際體驗後也運用雙語表達自己的觀點，向斯國學生分享洗愛玉籽的觸感及愛玉的口感。

Aiyu jelly is a traditional snack frequently enjoyed by Taiwanese people during summer time. The crop, Aiyu, is kind of a “national treasure” because it’s only cultivated in Taiwan.

On a hot summer day in June, our students tried to make the Aiyu jelly from washing the Aiyu seeds on their own. Everyone in the class did a great job assisting the most important process – squeeze and massage the seeds in the water. After a while waiting, they finally could taste the jelly with lemon juice and honey.

Students also got interviewed to share their feelings:
Many of them thought that the touch of squeezing the seeds was weird.
Almost everyone was satisfied with this iced snack, while some complained it was a little sour. They then received additional honey by the teacher!

It is expected that after sharing this experience video to our partner school in Slovakia🇸🇰, students there will become interested in our local dishes!
