【從線上共學，到跨海相見；從校園交流，到走進彼此的生活。】
為期六天的帛琉交流，在 Palau High School 學伴與 Homestay 爸媽們的溫暖歡送中，畫下美麗的句點。🇹🇼🇵🇼
三天走進帛琉高中，從一開始擔憂的語言隔閡，到破冰後逐漸熟悉；從分班入班共學、到考古學參與。此野外實察要特別感謝蔡彥博士以及規畫導覽的老師 Nest Mechaet。她非常用心為我們設計這次前往 Ngaraard 的學習行程，帶著師生走訪當地的考古遺址、傳統地理景觀，並透過口述歷史與文化故事，讓我們更深入認識帛琉的歷史與文化。來到帛琉，並實際入住當地家庭兩晚，讓學生們透過真實的生活體驗，開始更深入理解不同的文化。
離開教室之後，🌊大海就是帛琉最遼闊的教室。
兩天的海洋體驗，讓孩子們親眼看見課本無法呈現的世界。帛琉海底的深廣與奧妙，真的很難用文字形容。
特別感謝平時就熱愛潛水的公民科范宇翔老師全程同行，給予孩子們最安心的陪伴與照護。這也是地理科冠亨老師第一次踏上帛琉。
身為地理人，過去從書本認識島嶼、海洋、族群與人地互動；真正站在這片土地，才更深刻感受到有些知識可以從書上學習，有些理解，必須親自走進世界。
🇹🇼 同時也非常感謝 中華民國駐帛琉大使館 Embassy of the ROC Taiwan in Palau 一路以來的協助與支持，讓這趟交流能夠更加順利、豐富。特別感謝羅浩偉秘書從行前到當地的細心聯繫與安排，協助我們處理許多交流細節，也讓師生能夠安心投入每一段行程。其中，與陳剛毅大使共進早餐、雙方交流對談，更是孩子們非常難得的一次學習經驗。
大使勉勵孩子們，人生沒有一條路是不坎坷的，要勇於接觸不同事物，才能慢慢找到自己的方向；從文化走向文明，需要有所付出，而走向世界，更要以臺灣為榮。
海底的深邃、夜晚的星空，以及帛琉人與海洋之間的關係，都讓這趟旅程不只是學生的國際教育，也是帶隊老師重新學習的過程。

【From Learning Online to Meeting Across the Ocean; From School Exchange to Sharing Each Other’s Daily Life】
Our six-day exchange in Palau came to a beautiful end with a warm farewell from our Palau High School buddies and homestay families. 🇹🇼🇵🇼
During our three days at Palau High School, our students went from feeling nervous about the language barrier to becoming more comfortable after the ice-breaking activities. They joined different classes, and took part in an archaeological field study. We would also like to give special thanks to our tour guide, Nest Mechaet, who put a lot of thought and effort into planning our archaeological field trip to Ngaraard. She guided us to explore Ngaraard’s archaeological sites, traditional landscapes, oral histories, and cultural heritage, helping our students and teachers understand Palau’s history and culture in a much deeper way.
By coming to Palau, staying with local families for two nights our students began to understand another culture through real-life experiences.
🌊 Outside the classroom, the ocean became the biggest classroom in Palau.
Two days of ocean activities gave our students the chance to see a world that textbooks cannot fully show. The beauty, depth, and wonder of Palau’s underwater world are truly difficult to describe in words.
Special thanks to Civics teacher FAN, YU-HSIANG, who loves diving and stayed with our students throughout the trip, giving them great care and support.
This was also the first visit to Palau for Geography teacher CHI, KUAN-HENG. As a geography teacher, he had learned about islands, oceans, different peoples, and human–environment relationships from books. But standing on the land of Palau gave him a much deeper understanding: Some knowledge can be learned from books, but some things can only be understood by stepping into the world ourselves.
🇹🇼 We are also very grateful to the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Republic of Palau for its continued support and assistance, which made this exchange smoother and more meaningful. Special thanks to Embassy Secretary Harvey Lo for his thoughtful communication and careful arrangements before and during our visit. His support with many details allowed our teachers and students to take part in each activity with peace of mind. One of the highlights was the opportunity to have breakfast and a meaningful conversation with Ambassador Chen, Kang-I. It was a truly valuable learning experience for our students.
Ambassador Chen encouraged our students by telling them that every path in life has challenges. We need to be brave enough to try different things so that we can slowly find our own direction. Moving from culture toward civilization takes effort and contribution, and when we step into the world, we should always be proud of Taiwan.
The deep blue ocean, the beautiful night sky, and the close relationship between the people of Palau and the sea made this journey more than an international learning experience for our students. It was also a chance for the teachers leading the group to learn again and see the world in a new way.

We left Taiwan to see the world, and we brought the world back to Mingdao.
