【二年級影子變變變：海底世界大冒險！】

當微光亮起，神奇的事情發生囉！🪄✨
這學期二年級的「影子變變變」單元，小朋友們化身為小小光影魔術師。大家用靈巧的小手，一刀一剪創作出獨一無二的海洋動物剪影。
「Ready? Light on!」🔦倒數聲後，原本靜止的紙片，在燈光的照射與布幕的魔法加持下，竟然全都「活」了過來！小丑魚在海草間穿梭、鯊魚張大著嘴巴、水母也跟著輕快地跳起舞，還有海龜再到處穿梭。
舞台上，一場精采絕倫的「海洋影子秀」正式開演！看著孩子們用光影說故事、讓創意在布幕上飛舞，真的太好玩、太有成就感了🥰

When the lights go down, the magic begins! 🪄✨
In our 2nd-grade "Shadow Magic" class, students become little magicians! They use their hands to cut out many cute sea animals from paper.
"Ready... lights on!" 🔦 With flashlights and a white screen, the quiet paper animals suddenly come to life!
Cute fish swim around, big sharks open their mouth, and jellyfish dance happily. We can also see sea turtles nearby.
Welcome to our amazing "Deep Sea Shadow Show!" 🦀🐙
It is so much fun to watch the kids tell stories with light and shadows. Their big imaginations dance on the screen!

【當太平遇上俄亥俄州！校園美式嘉年華驚喜登場 🎡✨】
這週五年級的國際教育課簡直嗨翻了！我們直接把最道地的美式嘉年華「State Fair」搬進學校啦！🎉特別邀請外師 Josh 帶大家認識他的家鄉——美國俄亥俄州（Ohio）。Josh 老師不只分享了家鄉慶典上酷炫的搖滾樂和農場動物，還把原汁原味的園遊會攤位遊戲（Fair Games）帶進課堂。從考驗技巧的套圈圈（Ring Toss）、飛鏢射氣球（Balloon Darts），到刺激的乒乓球投杯子（Ping Pong Ball Bottle Toss）和強力打擊器（High Striker），教室裡全是孩子們的尖叫聲跟歡笑聲，每個人都玩到不想下課！

既然是嘉年華，怎麼能少了萬惡的美食（Fair Food）呢？😋
參考 Josh 老師分享的美味地圖，除了香濃的起司通心粉（mac and cheese）和比臉大烤火雞腿（turkey leg），最讓大家流口水的就是鋪滿糖粉的香酥漏斗蛋糕（funnel cake），還有超級邪惡的炸奧利奧（deep-fried oreos）！配上一口甜滋滋的棉花糖（cotton candy）跟清涼檸檬汁（lemonade），光聽就讓人流口水了呀！

這次的體驗真的太好玩了，孩子們不只學到了英文，更用最接地氣的方式感受到了異國的慶典文化。謝謝 Josh 老師帶給五年級孩子們這麼棒的驚喜，這堂國際教育課，好玩又好吃！❤️

In this semester's 5th grade International Education class, we brought the most authentic American "State Fair" culture straight to our Taiping campus! 🎉

We were thrilled to have our foreign teacher, Josh, introduce the students to the vibrant festival culture of his home state—Ohio! Josh not only shared stories about the classic farm animals and energetic rock 'n' roll music found at the fair, but also gave the students a hands-on experience with iconic "Fair Games." From the skillful Ring Toss, the strength-testing High Striker, and the thrilling Balloon Darts, to the super fun Ping Pong Ball Bottle Toss, the campus was echoing with our students' laughter and cheers!

And of course, a fair isn't complete without mouth-watering "Fair Food!" 🤤
Students got to learn about all the fair favorites, including creamy Mac and Cheese, crispy Funnel Cake dusted with powdered sugar, massive Turkey Legs, fluffy Cotton Candy, decadent Deep-fried Oreos, and refreshing Lemonade. This feast of visuals and flavors made our 5th-graders feel as though they had been instantly transported to a festival in the U.S.!

Through this immersive, fun, and delicious experience, our students expanded their international horizons and truly felt the unique charm of a different culture. A huge thank you to Teacher Josh for bringing such an unforgettable lesson to us! ❤️🇺🇸

【✨春日狂歡 X 森林派對！中年級雙語美勞展活力登場！ 】
大自然點點名！這個春天，校園裡不只下起了耀眼的黃金雨，還住進了神祕的台灣大貓咪？快來看看三、四年級的小藝術家們，如何用繽紛的色彩與動感的線條，把春天和森林的滿滿活力通通打包進畫布裡！

🎨 三年級：迎接春天的黃金暴風雨！花朵大爆炸！
走在學校附近的路口，你被那片亮澄澄、讓人心情大好的黃色驚豔到了嗎？
三年級的孩子們這次玩瘋了！大家化身色彩魔法師，融合了蠟筆的濃郁線條與水彩的輕盈渲染，把校園周邊盛開的「黃花風鈴木」變成了一場超級視覺盛宴！
在畫布上，孩子們一邊開心地塗抹，一邊用英文玩著神奇的空間魔術，把春天的層次感展現得淋漓盡致：
Foreground (近景)：馬路上有蹦蹦跳跳的行人、滴答奔馳的小汽車，好熱鬧！
Midground (中景)：兩旁的主角——黃花風鈴木瞬間花朵大爆炸，炸出滿滿的亮黃色能量！
Background (遠景)：學校建築物與藍天白雲襯托著花海，讓畫面無限延伸！
把春天的美景通通搬進畫布，帶進太平國小的校園送給大家！
每幅畫都像在對著你大喊：「哇！春天到啦！快來一起跳舞吧！」

🐾 四年級：台灣大貓咪的森林捉迷藏！
鏡頭一轉，四年級的孩子們帶大家走入神祕森林！這次的主角是台灣超珍貴的野生種——台灣雲豹與石虎。
孩子們化身線條魔法師，用蠟筆畫出充滿力量與速度感的線條，勾勒出牠們身上帥氣的斑紋，還有眼睛裡閃爍的靈動光芒！在揮灑創意的同時，孩子們也變身生態小尖兵，大聲用英文呼籲 Wildlife Conservation (野生動物保育) 的重要性。保護牠們，就是保護台灣山林最棒的生命力！

✨Spring Carnival & Wild Party! Grade 3 & 4 Bilingual Art Gallery
Our 3rd and 4th grades students used their magical brushes to bring the energetic vibes of Spring and the wildlife into our school!

🎨 Grade 3: Spring Bloom🏵️🏵️🏵️
Are you ready for a massive splash of bright yellow? The streets around our school have turned into a beautiful sea of gold, and our Grade 3 students just went wild with it! Using a wonderful mix of vibrant crayons and dreamy watercolors, they captured the pure joy of spring.

While splashing colors, they had so much fun mastering spatial layers in English, building a lively 3D spring world on paper:

Foreground: Busy streets, cute cars, and people walking happily!

Midground: Our superstar "Golden Trumpet Trees" popping out with big explosions of yellow flowers!

Background: Distant buildings and beautiful blue skies stretching far away!

The kids were so excited to bring this warm spring view straight into our school for everyone to enjoy. Every single canvas is shouting, "Yay! Spring is here! Come and join the party!"

🐾 Grade 4: Taiwan's Wild Cats!🐆🐆🐆
Let’s take a wild trip into the forest! Our Grade 4 students turned their eyes to Taiwan's precious native species: the Clouded Leopard and the Leopard Cat.
Using dynamic and powerful oil pastel lines, the children captured the cool fur patterns and sparkling eyes of these amazing wild cats. Through this artistic adventure, they also became eco-heroes, learning the importance of Wildlife Conservation(野生動物保育). Protecting them means keeping our forests alive and kicking!

這24位來自四、五年級的小朋友，是明天（5/14）要代表太平國小參加台中市114學年度國小英語歌唱比賽的校園代表隊。大家這陣子每個禮拜的早自習與中午時段，不間斷的辛苦練習，就是為了明天在台上的這一刻🙌🙌🙌

🎼今天特別結合學校的「五月感恩音樂會 (May Music Thank)」舉辦快閃演唱會，在teacher Josh的介紹下，我們唱響這首比賽曲目 《We are the World》 ，傳遞愛與和平的理念。🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

🌊 當大海不再蔚藍：孩子們的減塑告白 by Teacher Betty

在雙語生活課中，教室裡少了一點喧嘩，多了一份專注與反思。為了響應地球日，我們帶領孩子們完成了一幅特別的畫作——關於海洋動物與塑膠垃圾的故事。

孩子們拿著畫筆，畫出的不只是可愛的海龜與鯨魚，還有那些本不該出現在海裡的塑膠袋、飲料杯和吸管。在創作過程中，大家開始討論：
「老師，海龜是不是會把塑膠袋當成水母吃掉？」
「鯨魚的肚子裡如果都是垃圾，一定很不舒服吧？」

這堂課的目的不只是畫出一幅漂亮的畫，更是要在孩子心中種下一顆「減塑」的種子。我們一起討論了生活中可以做的小改變：
少用一次性餐具、出門自備水壺以及拒絕不必要的塑膠袋~

海洋垃圾不會自動消失，但我們的習慣可以改變。透過畫作，孩子們不僅理解了污染的嚴重性，更學會了什麼是「責任」。

希望這份對大海的愛，能從教室延伸到每個家庭，讓我們一起為了這群海洋好朋友，努力落實減塑生活！

For the Earth Day project in Teacher Betty' Bilingual Life class, the children created artwork depicting the impact of plastic pollution on marine life. Through their drawings of sea creatures struggling with trash, the students learned how plastic waste harms our oceans. This hands-on activity encouraged them to reflect on the importance of reducing plastic use in their daily lives to protect our environment.

🌸 媽祖駕到！校園裡的「鑽轎腳」大冒險 🌸
今天校園很不一樣！！！來自臺中市太平崎埒福德祠/社團法人臺中市太平崎埒福安協會帶領的媽祖遶境隊伍緩緩走進校園，為全校師生送上滿滿的平安與祝福。

這是最接地氣的生命教育與文化課！看著同學們排起長龍，懷著虔誠又興奮的心情蹲下身子，體驗台灣最震撼的民間傳統——「鑽轎腳」。

今天的亮點人物絕對是我們的外師 Josh！
第一次參與這樣的活動，Josh 的眼睛瞪得比誰都大。從一開始的好奇詢問，到後來跟著大家一起彎下腰、屏息等待神轎從上方輕輕掠過，Josh 直呼：“This is absolutely incredible!”

Josh 分享道：
「在我的家鄉很少見到這麼有張力的集體活動。雖然宗教背景不同，但我能感受到那股守護與平安的力量，這就是台灣最美的文化風景！」我們一直努力讓校園成為一個開放的國際舞台。這次讓外師參與遶境活動，正是跨文化交流最好的體現~~~

Hello everyone! Do you know that April 22nd is World Earth Day? This special day reminds us that Earth is our only home and we must protect it together.
This year, we want to focus on reducing plastic and living a green life. You can be a hero by bringing your own spoons and bags, turning off the lights to save power, and sorting your trash carefully. We also have two fun activities for you to try.

First, we have an animal puzzle that shows why plastic trash is bad for our animal friends.

Second, we have a game to help you learn how to sort plastic, metal, glass, and paper into the right bins. You do not need super powers to save the world.

If you change a few small habits, you are already a superhero for our planet. Let's work together for the Earth!
