Designer Class｜Earth Science – The Water Cycle（水循環）
今天 Designer Class 的孩子們化身為「小小地球科學家（Earth Scientists）」，透過英文、科學實驗與手作活動，一起探索 The Water Cycle（水循環），了解地球上的水是如何不斷循環，並思考我們每天喝的水究竟從哪裡來！🌎💧
🌊 The Water Cycle（水循環）
老師先提出問題：
"Where does the water we drink come from?"
"How does water move around the Earth?"
孩子們踴躍分享自己的想法，有人回答 "We boil the water."、"We filter the water."，接著一起認識 The Water Cycle 的四個重要階段：
☀️ Ev***ration（蒸發）
"Heat from the sun makes water ev***rate into water v***r."
太陽的熱能讓水變成 water v***r（水蒸氣），上升到空中。
☁️ Condensation（凝結）
"Water v***r cools down and forms clouds."
水蒸氣遇冷凝結成許多小水滴，形成雲朵。
🌧️ Precipitation（降水）
"Water falls back to Earth as rain, snow, or hail."
當雲層變得太重時，水會以 rain、snow、hail 等形式降回地面。
🌍 Collection（匯集）
"Water collects in oceans, rivers, lakes, and the ground."
水回到海洋、河流、湖泊及地面，再次展開新的循環。
🌿 Extra Vocabulary：Transpiration（蒸散作用）
孩子們還學習了進階科學單字 Transpiration，了解植物會透過葉片釋放水蒸氣到空氣中。
"Transpiration happens in plants."
"Ev***ration happens in water."
透過比較，孩子們更清楚了解 Ev***ration 與 Transpiration 的不同，也認識植物在水循環中所扮演的重要角色。
🧪 Science Experiment（科學實驗）
今天的實驗將三杯水分別放在：
教室窗外（Outside）
開冷氣的教室（Classroom with the AC on）
沒開冷氣的教室（Classroom with the AC off）
30 分鐘後，孩子們仔細觀察並比較結果，發現：
"The water outside ev***rated faster."
"The water with the AC on also ev***rated faster."
透過實際觀察，孩子們了解不同環境會影響 Ev***ration（蒸發） 的速度，也體驗到科學探究的重要精神。
🌍 Water on Earth（地球上的水）
接著，孩子們認識地球上的水資源分布，了解：
💙 97% of Earth's water is not drinkable.
因為大部分都是海水（seawater），含有大量鹽分，不能直接飲用。
老師也帶領孩子們複習水的三種型態：
🧊 Solid
💧 Liquid
☁️ Gas
並思考三種型態如何在水循環中不斷轉換。
🎨 Water Cycle Craft（水循環手作）
最後，孩子們完成 Water Cycle Craft，將 Ev***ration、Condensation、Precipitation、Collection 四個階段完整呈現在作品中，透過創作再次整理今天學到的知識，加深對水循環的理解。
