Day 14
一早起床，跟平常一樣刷牙洗臉，但今天卻多了一個步驟——打包行李。到了我最害怕的道別home家的時刻了，我們一起吃了在澳洲的最後一次早餐，吃完早餐還有30分鐘才要出門，不知道是因為即將離別的關係還是什麼，今天的時間過得特別快。在離開前轟爸轟媽替我們的旅程和未來禱告，也給我們了卡片和真摯的擁抱，擁抱的那一刻，我濕潤的眼眶像個潰堤的水壩，再也憋不住了，我抱著轟爸好久好久，眼淚也早已浸溼他的袖子。去The Gap School 的路上我們什麼話都沒說，只見副駕駛的轟媽不斷的擦眼淚，下車後又是個道別的時刻，這次我們沒說什麼話，但在我給轟媽擁抱的時候，我的耳邊傳來一句「come back in the future.」我當下也下意識的回答「I will.」
接著我們前往Dreamworld 主題樂園玩，在樂園裡我們創造了許多美好的回憶，挑戰了許多原本預想自己不敢的事物，尤其是那個39樓高自由落體，一群人在高空尖叫的樣子真的很讓我印象深刻，我非常享受這場澳洲的青春盛會。
要去機場了路上，我看到窗外美麗的夕陽，美麗卻帶著憂傷，因為夕陽落下代表著我們的澳洲之旅也將畫下一個句點。到了機場手機通知都是那些澳洲的朋友傳訊息的祝福和道謝，我的眼眶又因為這些祝福而溼潤。上了飛機，一切變得好不真實，感覺像才剛降落到澳洲怎麼就要離開了。在我準備開啟飛航模式的瞬間，轟爸傳了一則訊息給我，內容在關心我們和希望我們將所有美好的回憶都帶回去台灣跟爸媽和朋友們分享。
起飛後，看著窗外點點星光，一個個都像我在澳洲珍貴且閃亮的回憶，一個個慢慢回想，眼眶又再次泛淚，在這16天創造了太多珍貴的回憶讓我一個都不捨得忘記，也創造了許多真誠的友誼。
I woke up this morning and went through my usual routine of brushing my teeth and washing my face, but today there was one extra step—packing my luggage. The moment I feared most had finally arrived: saying goodbye to my host family. We shared our last breakfast together in Australia. With 30 minutes left before heading out, time seemed to fly by today—perhaps because of the impending farewell. Before we left, my host dad and mom prayed for our trip and our future. They also gave us cards and heartfelt hugs. The moment we embraced, the tears I had been holding back burst like a breaking dam. I held my host dad for a long, long time, my tears soaking right through his sleeve. On the way to The Gap State High School, no one said a word; all I could see was host mom in the front passenger seat, constantly wiping away her tears.
When we got out of the car, it was time to say goodbye again. Not much was said this time, but as I gave host mom a hug, I heard her whisper in my ear, "Come back in the future." Without thinking, I replied, "I will."
Next, we headed to Dreamworld theme park, where we created so many wonderful memories. We challenged ourselves to do things we never thought we’d be brave enough to try—especially that 39-story drop tower. The image of our group screaming together high up in the air really left a deep impression on me. I truly cherished every second of this unforgettable Aussie youth adventure.
On the way to the airport, I looked out the window at the breathtaking sunset. It was beautiful, yet tinged with sorrow, as the setting sun signaled that our journey in Australia was coming to an end. Once we arrived at the airport, notifications flooded my phone with heartfelt wishes and thank-yous from our Australian friends. Seeing those messages brought tears to my eyes once again.
Boarding the plane felt so surreal—it felt as though we had just landed in Australia, and yet here we were, leaving already. Just as I was about to switch my phone to airplane mode, a message came through from my host dad. He expressed his care for us and wished that we would take all these beautiful memories back to Taiwan to share with our family and friends.
After takeoff, I gazed out the window at the twinkling stars, each one resembling a precious, shining memory from my time in Australia. As I reflected on them one by one, tears welled up in my eyes again. Over these 16 days, I’ve created so many priceless memories that I can't bear to forget a single one, along with genuine friendships that will last a lifetime.
