【第一屆雙語科學成果展】
12/24是平安夜,也是未來工程首次舉辦的雙語成果展
特別邀請University of Notre Dame的準博士Ray以及同時連線至美國與Tina視訊進行成果展示,學生作品如下:
1.彈雞機器人:運用arduino跟樂高製作,藉由sensor與程式的編寫進行的測彈力的拳擊機。
2.夾娃娃機器人:運用上課時所學的夾子結構加上EV3的程式,用角鋼製作整個結構進行的夾娃娃機。
3.LEGO夾舉車:運用社團課學習到的走線與夾舉製作的車子,可以偵測黑線及夾取物體。
4.藍瓶實驗:藉由葡萄糖的氧化還原使亞甲藍變色的實驗
5.植物大戰僵屍:靈感來自電玩遊戲"植物大戰僵屍",運用樂高製作的履帶運送僵屍,使僵屍自動前進;並製作不同的發射器來擊倒僵屍獲得分數,是個有趣又刺激遊戲。
這次的活動是個大膽的嘗試,感謝西苑高中教務處雅駿組長的支持也感謝美國的朋友在平安夜還願意幫忙來擔任評審。
學生的表現非常亮眼,英文能力超乎想像,獲得評審一致好評,可以看見學生的努力跟付出,未來的趨勢是跨領域與國際化,社團希望能夠藉由這樣的活動來幫助學生拓展視野、學習團隊合作並跨向國際。
The FEL 1st Bilingual science fair
Today is Christmas Eve and also the first try for bilingual science fair
We invite PhD candidate Ray Chen from University of Notre Dame and we google meet with Tina to show our project.
Let’s see what the students have done.
1. The mini Boxing club: It is created with LEGO and controlled by Arduino. As you triger the control bar, it can sense the power of your finger and then control the power of the boxing player.
2. Claw machine: We use the learning experience from club lesson. The claw is made by LEGO and the main structure is made by steel.
3. LEGO Lifting car: This car can follow black line by LEGO sensor, and also grab objects.
4. The magic blue bottle: This experiment is about Glucose reduction-oxidation reaction change the color in the bottle.
5. Plants vs. Zombies: Inspired by the video game "Plants vs. Zombies", it uses Lego-made crawlers to transport zombies and make them move ; and we make different launchers to knock down zombies to get points. It is an interesting and exciting game.
We make a bold try for this science fair. Thank you, Terrence, for the support and help, and Ray and Tina for being willing to help out as judges on Christmas Eve.
The performance of the students is very impressive and they have won unanimous praise from the reviewers.
The future trend is cross-field and more global. We will focus on helping students broaden their horizons through such activities. Learn to work in teams and go international.
