Brooklyn Public Library, one of the three major public library and a nonprofit organization in NY, offers me the best study environment-such as free WiFi, a free battery charging, a catering cafe and ,the most of all,a comfortable seat. For residents, it provides more facilities, like meeting rooms for small group session, a lab for a program, a recording room for music editing and accesses for quick check in and out.
It also welcomes non-residents for resting.
With its sincere host, I was a little bit reluctant to say good bye to her,housing me to accomplish my several tough assignments. Good bye! Brooklyn Public Museum! 2018.08.31
布魯克林公立圖書館是美國三大公立圖書館之一，非營利組織，提供很多便利的設施，小會議室，研究室，錄音剪接室，免費網路，免費充電，一個小餐廳，最重要是舒適的座位，也歡迎非居民使用，吹冷氣，暑期課程結束，非常捨不得離開，這個陪我奮戰完成許多作業的圖書館。

Walking a dog in NY should entertain you a lot although your neighbors have different expression.
Here are some different signs revealing different cultures in the tiny Manhattan.
“ Clean after your dog”, found in the local park.

在紐約遛狗應是一件有趣的事，法令雖然相同，但是用字遣詞在各個社區，還是依貧富差距，教育水準，各有說詞喔！請看照片解釋！

Central Park, built in 1857 in the heart of Manhattan, now attracted 40 million people per year. It’s one of the largest Metropolitan Parks ; and as large as 3.8 Taichung Metropolitan Park, or as large as 89 Taya elementary school. There are several methods to approach this the most filmed park. Biking is the most available way I chose to explore this adorable park. After cruising the whole biking loop, I found a free swimming pool in the northeastern which attracts me for my next visit.2018.08.27
紐約中央公園位於曼哈頓，可稱為紐約的心臟，1857年開始建造，面積相當於3.8個台中都會公園，或是89個大雅國小，是世界最大的都會公園之一，每年吸引4千萬遊客。在眾多逛這公園的方式中，我選擇騎車一圈，探索當中發現一個免費的游泳池，又有再次造訪的理由了。

Located in Brooklyn NY City, Prospect Park was built in 1867 with an area of 2.37 square Kilometers; similar to 3 Taichung Metropolitan Parks or 67 Taya elementary schools, and houses a lake, a zoo, a Botanic Garden, several sports facilities, a 90 acres of grasses and a multifunctional route for joggers, bikers and drivers.I was fascinated by her magnetism—with less suburban but more rural air, with less intensive but more casual sky, and with less anxious about the crowds but more relaxing atmosphere for runners passing through the trails by the lake. 2018.08.25

展望公園位於紐約布魯克林區，1867年開始建造，佔地大約2.37平方公里，大約3個台中都會公園，或67個大雅國小,展望公園旁邊還有一個植物園，裡面有一個動物園，棒球練習場，數個大草坪，圍繞公園一圈有一條馬路，規劃開車騎車跑步，各自分開，各取所需。這裡的氛圍不似中央公園擁擠，少了遊客喧擾，多了休憩的氛圍，跑步或散步在樹林之間或是湖畔都是很好的享受。

The Frick Collection is an outstanding museum with some of the best-known paintings by the greatest European artists, major work of sculpture, superb 18 century French furniture and porcelains.
The building is housed in the former resident of Henry Clay Frick.
Photos are not allowed except in the garden court. After viewing the delicate art work, I took a rest in the garden court watching visitors drawing. This drawing program offered free 8k paper and charcoal pencils to the visitors.watching the visitors participating with the passion of art, I wondered maybe one of them will be a future star.2018.08.24
弗里克收藏館是紐約一家私人博物館，蒐藏歐洲數位偉大藝術家的畫作，雕像，還有法國傢俱，瓷器。館內除了一樓中庭花園可以拍照，其他藝術品無法拍攝。大概下午3點之後，館方提供免費畫紙及碳筆鉛筆供遊客自由畫作，欣賞每位遊客認真作畫的表情，在藝術欣賞之後，再將對藝術的熱情藉由畫筆描繪出來，這真的是一種很棒的藝術教育。

阿米希人（Amish）是基督新教再洗禮派門諾會中的一個信徒分支，以拒絕汽車及電力等現代設施，過著簡樸的生活而聞名。 兩個重要的概念有助於理解阿米希人的日常行為：對「驕傲」的恐懼和對「謙卑」的推崇。謙卑通常表達為「順服」和「交託」，也許更確切的理解是不情願表達自我主張，願意順服於上帝的旨意。他們認為不使用電力，以免購買會顯示身分地位的商品而競爭；不照相，以免造成個人或家庭的虛榮心。近似的做法還包括拒絕初中以上的教育，特別是理論學習，對日常的農場生活毫無幫助，只會引發個人或物質方面的野心。在美國的高中教育里，培養競爭和自立意識是件好事，而這與艾美許人的價值觀截然相反。

The Amish,a branch of believers in the Protestant Apostolic Mennonite, is known for refusing modern facilities,such as using no electricity to avoid competing for the purchase of materials that display status, taking no pictures so as not to cause personal or family vanity, accepting no education above junior high school to cease achieving personal ambition, which was considered as an anachronism.
Criticized as an anachronism, the Amish appear the fear of pride and regard humility as obedience and contribution, a reluctance to express self-assertion,and a willing to submit to omniscient God, which is an oddity in the American culture of individualism.
Riding on an Amish carriage, roaming on the spectacular countryside, experiencing the synchronicity illusion, I wondered what individualism achieves us.

The best way to explore the skyscraper-jungle in Manhattan, the most densely populated borough of New York City, is to take a cruise, taking you to observe the pulse of the city from her prosperous outlook to the brilliant attitude before and after the sun set.
After 911, New, modern,creative and magnificent architectures have been rising in this petite tip of Manhattan, seemed like a illusion, viewed from a distant sea. 2018.08.19 Manhattan
紐約人口最稠密的行政區就屬曼哈頓了，搭乘郵輪從海上探索這座摩天大樓叢林，算是另一種方式，從傍晚時大樓的繁華矗立的景象到夜晚燈光絢爛奪目，彷彿看見一座海市蜃樓，一種不真實的美感。911之後更多的更新的更高的摩登大樓崛起，在曼哈頓最南端的一丁點土地上綻放光芒，告訴世人她強壯的生命力。

Breakneck Bridge, along Hudson River 100 KM north of NY and a famous spot for hiking, attracts me for my lust of nature and separates me from the noisy NY.
Getting off at a supper mini station, only made of several pieces of woods, We started a harsh 2KM walk, climbing up and down the stairs with the heavy luggage, roaming along the busy Road 9th with cars roaring by, and keeping aware of the monster-like racing cars until my lovely host appeared and gave us a ride.
The B&B is a 120-year-old House, inside fulfilled with paintings and antiques, most of which are older than the House, outside lined or circled with plants or chairs for a comfortable rest. I was pleased by a secret “garden”,actually a woods behind the house and a hiding lagoon where I enjoyed my swimming most. 2018.08.17

斷頸脊，位於紐約以北、沿著哈德遜河100公里，大部分的人都是為了爬山來到這裏。
它的車站很迷你，小到只有幾塊木頭搭建起來，連自動售票機都沒有了，更不用說有站務人員，下車後火車也開走了，剩下我們，好像被遺留在荒島，與世隔離的感覺。我們開始了一個嚴酷的2公里步行，帶著沉重的行李爬上爬下樓梯，沿著繁忙的9號公路漫行，旁邊的汽車咆哮而過，沒有給路人行走的空間，很怕駕駛不小心，我們會變成車下的亡魂！還好還好，我可愛的民宿主人即時出現載我們離開這可怕的公路。
這家民宿是一棟擁有120年曆史的建築，屋內裝飾著繪畫和古董，有的傢俱比房子還老，戶外規劃很多休憩的小空間，花朵植栽都有刻意的規劃及整理。我最喜歡我的秘密的“花園”，下回再介紹囉！
