"從策展人和修復人員的觀點，錄像藝術長久以來頗受冷落，但如今它已經成為美術館收藏整體的一部分...應該予以保存...然而，保存原始作品的具體物質概念竟不總是適合應用於錄像藝術。
現居奧地利，曾於ZKM、杜賽道夫媒體藝術中心參與多項媒體裝置藝術保存研究計畫的Fenna Yola Tykwer，對於媒體藝術的保存有深厚的體悟。研討會中除了探討錄像藝術的呈現方式外，也將敘述類比錄影帶的保存問題，例如「粘化影帶癥候」及「熱處理」等專業技法的說明。
