今天
4歲的小學生在練習描寫字母,真的讓我超出預期!她幾乎可以把每個字母都描得非常好。✏️

寫字看起來好像很簡單,但其實把字母寫正確非常重要,因為一點點的小差別,就可能變成另一個字母。看到她今天這麼專注又努力,真的讓我很驕傲!🌟

One thing I’ve noticed about handwriting is that in a busy classroom, it can be hard for teachers to give every student the individual help they need with letter formation. Sometimes kids just need someone sitting with them, guiding them as they practice.

Today my 4-year-old student worked on tracing letters, and she completely exceeded my expectations! She was able to trace them almost perfectly. ✏️

Handwriting might seem simple, but writing letters correctly is really important—small differences can easily turn one letter into another. I’m so proud of the focus and effort she showed today! 🌟

Jenga is a fun but challenging game that’s perfect for older students! While we play, we practice vocabulary, phonics, and even build sentences from the words we review.

Games make learning fun — but only if they stay fresh! 😉
That’s why I’m always finding new games to incorporate into class, so we can keep having fun while learning.

My student loved our new ring toss game! 🎯
Toss the ring, and if it lands on the cone, you get to read a vocabulary word. At the end, we count who’s collected the most words — a simple, fun way to practice reading and vocabulary!

Today we played a fun game of Hide and Seek ABC! I hid letter blocks around the room, and my amazing 3-year-old student searched, found, and matched each one on the ABC chart—saying both the letter and its sound! Of course, she needed a little guidance along the way, but for her age, she’s already doing amazing.

Writing can be tough at first, but practice makes perfect! Sometimes it can be a bit wobbly at the start, but that’s okay—what matters is being consistent and trying. With time and effort, handwriting gets better and confidence grows. So proud of my little student working hard on the letter ‘r’ today!

One of the best ways to make learning fun for little ones is to use what they already love! My two-year-old student is obsessed with transportation toys, so we turned them into a hands-on lesson.

🚜 Vocabulary Building – We named the different vehicles: “fire truck, police car, boat….”
🚂 Sorting Skills – We grouped each vehicle with its flashcard to build early sorting skills.

By using familiar and exciting materials, learning feels like play 😊

Picking the right books and materials is very important for making learning fun and successful. When I choose materials, I always think about what each student needs and likes.

For younger students, I look for colorful books with fun activities, games, and stickers. This helps make learning more enjoyable and keeps them interested in the lesson.

By using the right materials, I can make sure that every student has a good learning experience!

We have an extra student today 😄.
Took this cute picture while having class with my student. The cat jumped onto the chair while my student was reading a story. It sat there for a while and stared at the book while listening to her read.
貓咪也很認真的在上課。

Last week I taught my youngest student yet, a two month old girl.
I had a great time singing songs and reading stories to her, while she was smiling and paying attention to me the whole time.
It really is never too young to start learning.

Introducing the concept of using our phonics to make short words, all while having fun.

Many parents ask me when is the best time to start teaching their child English. My answer is always, the earlier the better.
I started teaching this student when he was just one year old. Now after two years, we can have basic conversations, play games together, he is able to communicate and express himself using English, and he even knows all the letters and their phonics sounds.
The best part is, we achieve this all though just simple interaction and playing together.
