2026 International Culture Week🎉🌍
The Office of Global Affairs, in collaboration with overseas Chinese student organizations, held the “2026 International Culture Week” from April 28 to 29 at the Shuinan Campus Plaza.🌈🎊
Jointly organized by overseas Chinese and international students, the event attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty and students.
The event featured cultural booths with specialty foods from Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Macau, Hong Kong, and Pakistan, allowing participants to experience diverse cultures through cuisine. Indian students also offered traditional henna art, which was well received by attendees.🍽️😋
Throughout the two-day event, visitors enjoyed international food while engaging in cross-cultural interactions, fostering mutual understanding and connection. The event created a vibrant and inclusive campus atmosphere, highlighting the university’s commitment to internationalization.🥳✨

2026 Chinese Singing Competition🎤✨
The Office of Global Affairs held the 2026 China Medical University Chinese Singing Competition on April 24, 2026. The event was a great success, with enthusiastic participation from international students and overseas Chinese students. Through music, students shared cultures and showcased their Chinese learning in a lively and joyful atmosphere.🎶💫
The competition featured two categories: the International Student Group and the Overseas Chinese Student Group. Contestants performed popular Chinese songs, demonstrating both their singing talent and Chinese language skills.🎉
This event provided students with a fun way to practice Chinese, build confidence, and connect with others. The Office of Global Affairs will continue to organize more cultural and language exchange activities in the future.🎊

The Office of Global Affairs recently organized a one-on-one career consultation session, featuring a certified SCPC International Career Strategy Planner and GCDF Global Career Development Facilitator.
Through personalized consultations, students received guidance on career planning, résumé and autobiography enhancement, and interview preparation. The sessions provided valuable insights, helping participants clarify their career direction, overcome challenges in their career pathways, and strengthen their professional profiles.
Overall feedback was highly positive, with students finding the sessions practical, insightful, and beneficial to their future development.

📢 Workshop Recap: Taiwan Residency & Work Permit Regulations (April 2026)
On April 15–16, 2026, we held two online workshops (English & Chinese sessions) focusing on Taiwan’s Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals, including the latest updates effective from January 1, 2026.
While the group was small, this allowed for more interactive discussions and personalized guidance. Students gained valuable insights into regulatory changes and how these updates can benefit their future plans in Taiwan.
💡 Key takeaway:
Policy changes create opportunities — but strong Chinese skills are essential to fully access them.

On April 8, 2026, international students joined the Wufeng Lin Family & Guangfu New Village Military Dependents’ Village Experience, a half-day cultural visit designed to introduce Taiwan’s history and diverse communities.
The group visited the Wufeng Lin Family Mansion, the Legislative Yuan Democracy Park, and Guangfu New Village. Through guided exploration and on-site learning, students gained a better understanding of Taiwan’s historical development, democratic journey, and military dependents’ village culture. The documentary screening at the Democracy Park further enriched participants’ knowledge of Taiwan’s political transformation.
The activity also created opportunities for students to interact, share experiences, and build friendships while learning about local culture. Many participants highlighted the engaging cultural content, meaningful peer interaction, and memorable group experience.
We look forward to organizing more cultural activities to help international students connect with Taiwan and with each other.

We were delighted to welcome a delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) – College of Technology and Design, Vietnam 🇻🇳 to China Medical University, Taiwan 🇹🇼
On March 18, 2026, the Office of Global Affairs had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) College of Technology and Design, Vietnam.
During the visit, both sides exchanged ideas on student exchange, faculty visits, research collaboration, and curriculum development. We also discussed future opportunities such as signing an MOU, dual-degree programs, and short-term exchanges.
This meaningful visit strengthened mutual understanding and laid the groundwork for future collaboration. We look forward to creating more international learning opportunities together! 👍

Fulbright IEA Delegation Visits CMU 🇺🇸 🇹🇼
On March 16, CMU had the pleasure of welcoming a Fulbright International Education Administrators (IEA) delegation, consisting of 16 senior administrators and professors from leading U.S. universities. 🤝
The visit highlighted CMU’s growing global impact, featuring presentations on achievements in international rankings and collaborations, as well as cutting-edge research in precision cancer medicine and the integration of traditional and modern Chinese medicine.
In the afternoon, the delegation explored key facilities including the Proton Therapy Center and major research labs such as the CMU–NVIDIA Joint Laboratory and the Kyoto University–CMU On-site Laboratory. 🤖🔬
The visit sparked meaningful discussions on international student support, research development, and future collaboration opportunities.
We look forward to strengthening global partnerships and expanding Taiwan-U.S. academic connections. 🌏🚀

📢 2026 CMU International Talent Career Fair a Huge Success!
On March 26, over 100 students from universities across Taiwan joined us at China Medical University, Shui-Nan Campus, for the International Talent Career Fair 🎓✨. Students had the chance to meet top employers face-to-face, submit resumes, attend on-site interviews, and participate in career talks and one-on-one consultations—helping them explore industry trends and expand career opportunities in Taiwan.

🌍🤝 Learning Across Cultures Through Play 🧱✨
The Office of Global Affairs recently hosted the LEGO® Six Bricks Workshop on Communication & Team Collaboration, bringing together international students and OGA staff in the same learning space.
Through hands-on LEGO® activities, participants experienced how cultural backgrounds influence communication styles, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students actively engaged in the challenges, while staff gained new perspectives on subtle communication gaps that can exist even in daily work.
By learning together, both students and staff deepened their understanding of cross-cultural communication and strengthened collaboration in a diverse campus environment.
