📖 內容：由低年級學生透過觀察、探究與創意，呈現可愛又富有童趣的動物作品，展現孩子們豐富的想像力與研究成果。

📖 Event Theme: The 1st and 2nd graders created models of the animals they researched and will engage the audience in different activities to teach about animals.

As children grow, they begin to face physiological and psychological changes. 🤷🤷‍♀️ To help our students embrace their growth with confidence, Sunrise collaborated with the Rising Sun Education Foundation to conduct a gender education class, taught by professional teachers from the foundation. ☮️
​
Through the guidance of these teachers, students learned:
🎯 the importance of respecting differences
🎯 how to establish healthy boundaries, be aware, and protect themselves
🎯 to avoid discrimination and gender bias
🎯 to have empathy and be responsible

We're heading off to the Taipei Zoo! Let’s go! 🦁🌿
​
Our Grade 1 and 2 class and our Grade 3 and 4 class held a joint exploration trip! The 1st and 2nd graders have been learning about animals, while the 3rd and 4th graders have been learning about habitats. We all set off to the zoo to learn more about our respective topics.
​
At the zoo, students explored with a purpose, to connect the knowledge they acquired in school to real-life situations. It was an unforgettable trip where students saw a variety of animals in their habitats.

This adventure made our learning more fun and meaningful! ❤️

During Centers Time, teachers provide differentiated instruction and scaffolding to teach students the academic skills they need to learn. These lessons build upon what students can already do. All students are working on something that they can complete independently, but still challenges them to expand their brain. 🧠 This is a time to strengthen their foundational skills in English language arts, Chinese, and math.

本週的Field Trip，我們終於來到孩子期待已久的台博館，
進行「第六次大滅絕」特展的專題學習探索👣
透過特展，才了解到地球曾經發生過「五次大滅絕」，
沒想到，我們可能正在面臨第六次大滅絕，而且和人類有關！
看到已經消失的臺灣雲豹、還有努力生存的中華白海豚🐬。
我們發現，不是動物突然消失，而是牠們的棲息地被改變了…
改變牠們的，正是人類不當破壞生態的行為！
透過這次參觀與學習，
我們覺察到，每個人都可以從日常生活小事中，時時做到關心地球生態。
不僅守護人類的生活環境，更要保護動物的棲息地。🌱

Sunrise students were excited to venture to the National Taiwan Museum and tour the "Sixth Mass Extinction" exhibit. 👣 Through the exhibit, we learned that Earth may now be facing a sixth mass extinction, one that is related to humans!
​
We studied extinct and endangered animals in Taiwan. Our students discovered that animals don't suddenly disappear. Then what’s happening to them? Their habitats are altered. Who’s the culprit? Us! Humans are destroying the environment. 😱 We realized that everyone can care for the Earth through small actions in their daily life. We must do our part to protect the habitats of animals. 🌱

From building awareness to researching solutions to making change, Sunrise believes that every child can take action and make a difference for our Earth. 🌍

馬場探索趣 🐴
Giddy-up! Fun at the Horse Stables 🐴
​
開心的4月！終於迎來了我們期待已久的馬場之旅。
配合學習主題，我們體驗了和馬兒近距離接觸：餵馬、幫馬兒準備糧草、清理馬兒的家、觀察馬兒洗澡...等活動，
了解照顧馬兒是件辛苦的工作，除了愛心、耐心與細心，馬兒更需要被好好照顧與保護。
​
最期待的就是騎馬活動，讓我們更認識馬的習性之外，也發現牠們可愛又溫馴的一面。
​
旭日希望透過這種體驗式學習增加知識之外，也幫助孩子建立同理心與責任感，
在與自然和生命互動中，培養正向品格與關懷生命的涵養。 🌱

As our 1st and 2nd graders learn more about Animals, we got up close and personal with horses at Grace Equestrian Club. Students got to feed horses 🥕, carry their food, clean their stable, watch them get washed 🚿, and learn about the process of caring for them. The most exciting activity was riding the horses! 🏇 They experienced how to trust a horse and treat it with respect.

Sunrise hopes that after this trip, students gained knowledge and a new appreciation for the relationship between animals and humans. 🤝

Fion is an adorable guide dog and a valuable aide for visually impaired friends! ✨
Fion’s handler taught us about the importance of guide dogs and how they help visually impaired folks in all aspects! These responsible canines are also a precious member of their family. 💖

Through this interaction, we hope our students learn to respect differences, have compassion, and gain a willingness to help others to become empathetic citizens. 🌱
