路亞國際中學一年一度的 A Journey Unfolds 學生學習分享會盛大登場。本次活動以「每一位學生都是主角、每一位學生都是評審、每一位學生都是學習者」為核心精神，讓學生透過公開發表與交流，展現一年來的學習成果與成長歷程。🌟
A Journey Unfolds, LUYA International School’s annual student learning exhibition, celebrates the belief that every student is a presenter, every student is an evaluator, and every student is a learner. The event provides a meaningful platform for students to share their learning journeys and demonstrate the growth they have achieved throughout the year.

展覽內容涵蓋學科探究、專題研究、藝術創作、科學實驗及跨學科學習成果。學生不僅展示作品與研究成果，更分享學習過程中的挑戰、反思與突破，呈現從知識建構到能力培養的完整歷程。🔬🎨

【🌊 From Classroom to Coastline: LUYA MYP Students Take Sustainable Action at Dakeng Beach 🌍】

路亞國際中學 MYP 學生日前前往大坑海岸進行淨灘行動，結合 IB MYP 社會與自然科學課程，延續 SDG14「保育海洋生態」學習。學生從「永續（Sustainability）」、「系統（Systems）」與「自然（Nature）」等關鍵概念，探討人類與自然的相互依存關係，並分析人為垃圾對海洋生態造成的影響。🌱
MYP students from LUYA International School recently participated in a beach cleanup activity at Dakeng Coast as part of their IB MYP Individuals and Societies and Sciences learning. Building on their study of SDG 14: Life Below Water, students explored the interdependent relationship between humans and nature through the key concepts of Sustainability, Systems, and Nature.

活動中，學生發現海灘垃圾以塑膠類最多，包括塑膠袋、瓶罐與食品包裝。透過實地觀察與分類紀錄，學生理解日常丟棄行為如何透過海洋系統影響整體生態。🗑️
During the cleanup, students found that plastic waste—including plastic bags, bottles, and food packaging—made up the largest category of litter. Through field observation and waste classification, students recognized how everyday human behavior can affect marine ecosystems through interconnected environmental systems.

此次活動也實踐 IB MYP「Service as Learning」理念，讓學生在真實行動中深化學習，培養環境責任感與永續意識。🤝
The activity also reflected the IB MYP philosophy of “Service as Learning,” encouraging students to transform classroom knowledge into meaningful real-world action. By engaging directly with environmental issues, students developed stronger awareness of sustainability, responsibility, and the importance of protecting natural ecosystems for the future.

清晨的陽光灑進校園，許多學生習慣提早到校，靜靜坐在足球場上，看著天空由灰藍漸漸轉亮，用一片純粹的藍色，舒醒一天的心情。微風吹過樹梢，校園不只是學習的地方，更像是一座與自然共生的小型生態場域。🌅
In the early morning, sunlight slowly spreads across the campus. Many students arrive before classes begin and sit quietly on the soccer field, gazing at the blue sky as a peaceful way to awaken their minds and emotions for the day ahead. With the gentle breeze moving through the trees, the campus becomes more than just a place for learning. It is also a living ecosystem where nature and education coexist.

今天早晨，老師也分享了一幕令人驚喜的畫面：松鼠自在地穿梭於樹梢之間，而臺灣藍鵲則悠然停留在校園樹林裡，彷彿早已將這裡視為安心棲息的家園。這些生命的存在，提醒著我們，真正美好的校園，不只充滿知識，也保有自然的呼吸。🐿️🐦
This morning, our teachers shared a beautiful scene observed on campus: squirrels leaping freely among the trees, while Taiwan blue magpies calmly rested in the branches, as if they had long considered the campus a safe and welcoming home. These moments remind us that a truly meaningful school environment is not only filled with knowledge, but also alive with the rhythm of nature.

配合 IB MYP 2 IDU（Interdisciplinary Unit）跨域課程，學生們近日展開「Campus Eco-Innovator 校園生態創新者」田野調查。學生以校園樹木周圍的微氣候為研究主題，透過測量溫度、觀察光照與記錄生物多樣性，了解環境如何影響不同生命的生存樣態。🔬
As part of the IB MYP 2 Interdisciplinary Unit (IDU), students recently began their “Campus Eco-Innovator” field investigation project. Using the campus environment as their outdoor classroom, students explored how the microclimate around trees including temperature and sunlight which influences biodiversity and the variety of life found nearby.

從 0 公尺到 8 公尺的距離，學生不只是記錄數據，更學習像科學家一樣觀察、像設計者一樣思考。他們將在調查後分析校園生態趨勢，進一步提出可能的生態創新方案，培養面對未來永續議題的理解與行動力。📏💡
By collecting temperature data, observing environmental conditions, and recording species diversity from 0 to 8 meters away from trees, students are learning not only to think like scientists, but also to problem-solve like innovators. After analyzing their findings, they will develop ecological innovation ideas and sustainability-focused solutions for the future.

當學生抬頭看見藍天、看見松鼠與藍鵲，也正在重新認識自己與環境的關係。教育，不只是課本中的知識，更是學會感受土地、理解生命，並願意為世界帶來改變。🌍💙
As students look up at the blue sky and encounter squirrels and Taiwan blue magpies in their daily lives, they are also learning to reconnect with the natural world around them. Education is not only about knowledge in textbooks; it is also about understanding life, appreciating the environment, and developing the ability to create positive change for the world.

【🌐 Language as a Bridge Beyond Learning: LUYA Pre-DP Students Engage in SDG3 Language Exchange with Chicago Students 🗣️】

「以前總覺得自己是在被教英文的人，但當我們真正具備語言能力後，也能成為向世界介紹中文與文化的人。」這是路亞國際中學10年級 Pre-DP 學生，在與美國芝加哥 George Westinghouse College Prep 進行國際交流後最深刻的體悟。💡
“We have always been the ones learning English from others. But once we develop strong English skills, we can also teach Chinese and share our culture with people around the world.” This became one of the most meaningful reflections from Grade 10 Pre-DP students at LUYA International School after participating in an international exchange program with students from George Westinghouse College Prep.

本次交流以聯合國永續發展目標 SDG3「良好健康與福祉」為主題，學生透過線上討論、文化分享與語言交換，與美國學生共同探討健康議題、生活習慣以及心理健康的重要性。交流過程中，臺灣學生不只是使用英文表達自己的觀點，也嘗試以英文向外國學生解釋中文語意與文化差異。💻
Centered on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG3): Good Health and Well-being, the exchange program encouraged students to discuss health-related topics, daily habits, and mental well-being through online conversations, cultural sharing, and language exchange activities. During the discussions, Taiwanese students not only practiced expressing their ideas in English, but also experienced the challenge of explaining Chinese meanings and cultural nuances to foreign students.

學生發現，看似簡單的中文詞語，其實蘊含細膩的語感與邏輯。例如「可以」、「應該」、「必須」等情態助動詞，在不同情境下代表不同程度的建議、責任與必要性。若沒有足夠的英文能力與語言理解，很難真正讓外國學生理解其中差異。這也讓學生體會到，語言學習不只是背單字與文法，更是一種跨文化溝通與思辨能力的培養。🧠
They discovered that some seemingly simple modal expressions in Chinese—such as “can,” “should,” and “must”—carry subtle differences in tone, responsibility, and necessity. Without strong English proficiency and deep language understanding, it can be difficult to clearly explain these concepts across cultures. Through this experience, students realized that language learning is far more than memorizing vocabulary and grammar. It is also about communication, critical thinking, and cultural understanding.

透過此次國際交流活動，路亞國際中學學生不僅提升了英文口說與表達能力，也學習以更開放的視角理解世界。學生們逐漸從「學習者」轉變為「分享者」，用語言建立連結，並將臺灣文化與觀點帶向國際舞台。🌍
The program allowed students to strengthen their English speaking skills while developing confidence in sharing Taiwanese perspectives with an international audience. This international collaboration transformed students from language learners into cultural ambassadors, using language as a bridge to connect with the world.
