Stanley Chen
在紐西蘭求學期間,開始接觸拉丁舞. 由於自小學習音樂, 所以對音樂的節奏和律動掌握甚佳, 加上本身對舞蹈和音樂的喜愛及自我要求度高, 因此在2001和2002年獲得紐西蘭全國拉丁舞蹈(Salsa)大賽中多個項目的冠軍，也是唯一的亞洲人在此項全國比賽獲得第一名的殊榮. 2004年轉往職業組發展,於2004與2006年獲得紐西蘭全國拉丁舞蹈(Salsa)比賽職業組第二名.
由於Stanley 細心與風趣的教學方式使得學生在salsa的學習上相當容易進入狀況. 其平易近人的態度更受學生們的愛戴, 在短短幾年的教學中晉升為奧克蘭拉丁舞蹈頂尖師資陣容之一. 自2003年開始Stanley 不斷的遠赴澳洲, 美國, 英國 以及歐洲多國
參與世界Salsa Congress, 並與許多國際級的老師交換心得, 其用意在將最新流行的 Salsa 資訊一起與學生分享.但Stanley相信不論其舞步如何變化, 但Salsa所含括的拉丁傳統文化與韻味是無法被取代的. Stanley 擅長教授與表演拉丁Salsa, 森巴, AXE, Merengue, Bachata, 恰恰恰. 曾在紐西蘭跟英國數個舞蹈中心,大學及餐廳酒吧教授Salsa,也曾主辦紐西蘭2006 及2007年JAMBALAYA拉丁嘉年華會中全國Salsa比賽的項目. Originally from Taiwan, he has lived in New Zealand and the UK since 1995. Because of Stanley’s charismatic, friendly and caring teaching style, he is dearly
loved by his students. His accommodating nature makes his students feel secure and confident under his guidance. Stanley’s talents extend beyond the dance-floor.He is also an avid musician and has organizational talents having event organized the Salsa Competition at Jambalaya Festival in New Zealand. He took up Latin Ballroom and Salsa in 2000. Stanley is passionate and
dedicated to learn, Because of this dedication, he won the first place at
the New Zealand Salsa competition in 2002. In 2004 and 2006 he won second place
in the professional section at the New Zealand Salsa Competition. Stanley has attended International Salsa workshops from well-known instructors
during his world trip from 2003 to 2009. He has taught Salsa at various studios,
universities and restaurants around Auckland with other well known NZ instructors
including: Paul Te Whata, Gino Mayaute, Yu Fen Wang and Kellen Pinheiro. Stanley also enjoys Samba, Cha-cha, Merengue, Bachata and Axe. Stanley loves both LA and New York styles as well as Cuban. This fusion is noticeable in his dance style.
