r, St. Paul’s High School resumed to run and further construct buildings. In 1949, due to the rebellion of the Communist, the central government relocated to west and used school’s buildings again. Some of the staff and students withdrew to Taiwan with the government in the winter of the same year. The monks were sent to Hong Kong and countries in Southern Asia to establish Chinese schools. In the autumn of 1952, Monk Wu was invited by Monk Zheng, the Bishop of Kaohsiung, to re-start the school in Taiwan. Three monks, Monk Wang, Liu and Han, also arrived in Taiwan to prepare for the mission and purchase the land for campus. In March of 1964, the first period of campus rebuilding was completed. Paul’s High School has since, along with the construction of the campus, made impressive progress. In August, 1965, St. Paul got permission from government to recruit junior high students, and founded the organization of corporation. In 1970, the night class and vocational courses were added. In 1980, in order to corrpespond to the the curriculum the school delievered , it was named St. Paul’s Business & Industrial Vocational High School and St. Paul’s Industrial & Home Economic Vocational High School in 1986. Finally, in 2004, the school reached the goal of 12-year education for elemenarty, junior and senior high.
