🎉Big success to 2026 Global Citizenship Joint Master Degree Programme Info Session 🎉

Many thanks to the SOAS delegates for attending the Admission Info Session. We have Prof. Catherine Dolan (Deputy Head of School of Anthropology, Media and Gender), Prof. Jieyu Liu (Deputy Dean of College of Humanities), and Prof. Sanjay Srivastava (Prof. of Anthropology) this afternoon. Also, thanks to Prof. Poe Wan, and Prof. Yun Tai from the Department of Sociology, Professor Brian Fong and Dr. Wan-Ping Lin from the Institute of Political Science.

Important message
One-year intensive programme; study in two countries
Tuition Fees: 13,000 Pounds
6 places for the international students
9 places for the Taiwanese students

Cirriculum
Students need to take 2 required and 2 optional courses at each university.

Grounded on the core themes of equality, citizenship, and social change, the programme encourages students to rethink nation-state-centred concepts of citizenship while engaging with key issues such as transnational migration, multiculturalism, and sustainable development. Through problem-based learning methods, including case studies and comparative research, students develop innovative approaches to addressing global challenges.

Scholarship
6 full scholarship + 12 partial scholarship

Thesis
Every student will be jointly supervised by professors from both universities. Research workshops will take place in the first semester to help students develop research questions and a literature review. Students will write up the thesis in the second semester.

Graduation requirement
Complete 36 credits (12 credits at NSYSU, 12 credits at SOAS, and 12 credits for the Thesis)
