明明長得這麼像，為什麼有時候要加 -d，有時候又不用？

• Close (形容詞/動詞)：強調「距離近」或是「關門的動作」。
• Closed (形容詞)：強調「狀態」，表示門已經關上了、沒營業。

遊樂園裡的設施是 "facility" 嗎？🤔🤔🤔

相信各位同學都有去遊樂園玩過的經驗吧？🎢

老師在批改作文時發現一個有趣的現象：
當大家想表達「遊樂設施」時，往往會下意識地寫成 "facility"。
雖然文法沒有錯，但在英文母語人士聽起來，"facility" 比較像是在形容「公共設施」或「硬體設備」（比如：體育館的 fitness facilities 健身設施）。

大家好～最近有在注意關於 非洲豬瘟 (African Swine Fever) 的新聞嗎？
這是一種 豬隻的傳染病 (an infectious disease in pigs)，致死率非常高 (with a very high fatality rate)。
