What happens when our Elementary and Middle School students hit the court together?

Our Elementary students recently teamed up with our Middle School students for a fun and friendly basketball game—and the excitement was real! From the first whistle, the court was alive with fast breaks, cheers, and plenty of laughter.

Huge shoutout to our teachers and coaches for making this event happen, and to our students for bringing their A-game and showcasing amazing sportsmanship! 🙌🔥

🎒✨【Grade 8 Trip｜Playing Together, Learning Together, Growing Together】✨🎒
With teachers leading the way, Grade 8 students set off on their graduation trip to Taipei! The journey was filled with laughter, excitement, challenges, and surprises along the way.
Students worked together to take on an escape room challenge and joined indoor sports activities—engaging both mind and body while building teamwork skills💪. They also shared meals, went shopping, and visited famous spots around Taipei, learning how to care for and support one another through everyday interactions.
This is more than just a trip—it’s a memory-making journey where everyone grows together💙

🎒✨【八年級畢旅｜一起玩、一起學、一起長大】✨🎒
在老師帶領下，八年級同學一起出發到台北展開畢業旅行！一路上笑聲不斷，也充滿挑戰與驚喜～
大家一起挑戰密室逃脫、參加室內運動活動，動腦又動身體，培養團隊合作力💪；也一起吃飯、逛街、走訪台北景點，在日常互動中學習彼此照顧與分享。
這不只是旅行，更是一起成長的回憶製造機💙

One Earth, One Family | Charity Oil Painting Exhibition

During the 2026 TAi Urban Resort Art Festival in Kaohsiung, the Charity Oil Painting Exhibition organized by IDEAS Taiwan was officially showcased at TAi Urban Resort.

HAS Hsinchu American School PTA President Karen participated as one of the curators, collaborating with parents and students from KAS Kaohsiung American School and the KAS FLP Future Leaders Program to share compassion and care through art.

HAS art teacher Ms. Lai led the oil painting workshops, where parents, students, and teachers came together to explore oil painting and experience how art can become a meaningful way to give back to the community. During the exhibition, Ms. Lai also guided five HAS student volunteers who helped with guest reception, artwork organization, and gallery tours. Through the experience, students learned responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of service, adding even more warmth and meaning to the exhibition.

The “1514 Charity Gallery” featured 169 oil paintings centered around themes of animal welfare, social awareness, and environmental care.

Proceeds from the charity exhibition supported meaningful causes:

✨ All proceeds from Section A were donated to Taiwan SPCA
✨ A portion of proceeds from Section B will be donated to the Kaohsiung Down Syndrome Association

HAS is honored to be part of an event that brings together art, creativity, and community impact. We are also deeply grateful to the many parents who traveled to Kaohsiung to support the exhibition and encourage the students’ artistic and charitable efforts.

Through the power of education and community, we hope to continue inspiring students to care for others, build empathy, and create positive impact in the world around them.

2026 承億亞灣藝術節，由 IDEAS Taiwan 籌備的《慈善義賣油畫展》於高雄承億酒店正式展出。

HAS 新竹美國學校家長會長 Karen 共同參與本次公益策展，攜手來自 KAS 高雄美國學校的家長與學生，以及 KAS FLP 未來領袖計劃團隊，一同以藝術傳遞愛與關懷。

HAS 藝術老師 Ms. Lai 也特別參與指導油畫創作課程，透過她的帶領，家長、學生與老師們在安靜專注的教室氛圍中，透過藝術實踐公益精神，讓每一幅作品都成為連結社會與傳遞關懷的力量。展覽期間，老師也帶領著五位HAS學生志工協助展場接待、作品整理與現場導覽，讓孩子們在參與過程中學習責任感、團隊合作與服務精神，也為這場公益藝術展增添更多溫暖與感動。

「1514公益展間」展出 169 幅油畫作品，透過藝術創作關注動物保護、社會關懷與環境議題，展區分為：

本次義賣所得：
✨ A區收益全數捐贈予台灣防止虐待動物協會 TAIWAN SPCA 🐾✨ B區部分收益捐贈予高雄市唐氏症歡喜協會

HAS 很榮幸能參與這場結合藝術、美感與公益的活動，也非常感謝許多家長特別南下高雄參與此次畫展，以實際行動支持孩子們的創作與公益理念。

期待透過教育與社群的力量，持續鼓勵孩子們關心世界、培養同理心，並勇於實踐正向影響力。

Our Grade 2 students, led by Mr. Kudra, designed and launched “Challenge Day,” which officially started at lunchtime today! 👏

All students and staff are invited to join 5 fun challenges. Each time you complete a task, you earn a sticker—the more stickers you collect, the better the rewards! 🎯

This activity is not only fun, but also meaningful. Students are using it to raise funds for “PACK Taiwan” (Home for Stray Dogs), helping and caring for animals in need. 💛
