Christmas in TICA is celebrated by presents, cuisines, and decorations. Students exchanged heartwarming gifts that they have long prepared and received the love from others. Christmas cheer with roast chicken and Korean food was also enjoyed at lunch.

Decorations on the walls are the snowman and gingerbread man which students made and took a picture happily with. In addition, by discussing how other countries celebrate Christmas, students and teachers get to appreciate and know more about this winter holiday.

On the day of Thanksgiving, students presented a presentation about this special holiday. They shared about the origin of thanksgiving, the story of native Americans who taught English colonists to settle down in Plymouth, and the purpose of having turkey and keeping wishbones. Events such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Turkey trot are brought up in their sharing as well. We also learned how to bake cranberry pies, too!

During lunchtime, students and teachers gathered up and had a turkey feast. There was also an apple pie for dessert after the meal which was made by students.

Students and teachers of TICA got into the holiday spirit today with creative costumes and makeup on their faces.

Decorations on the white board shows the imagination and passion of students toward this special holiday.

Students challenged themselves to the sky bike which was five floors high at the National Taiwan Science Education Center. The pride in their eyes after conquering the fear of heights by cycling across the building on a wire.

At the Biological evolution exhibition, students discovered the main biomes and ecosystems around the world, and learned that the food system is the key factor that affects biodiversity.
