【🌹CHIA-YI Toastmasters 5/6 Meeting Highlights】
嘉義 Toastmasters Club 5月第一場例會熱情登場！這次的會議主題是 「Mother’s Day母親節🌷」，大家一起用英語說出對媽媽的愛與感謝！
Melissa 擔任 Grammarian 介紹「appreciative」的不同用法！Bain 準備有趣的 Variety Session，運用fortunately 及 unfortunately 接龍編故事。
Joanna 分享的演講主題是「My Secret Radio Station」，分享她深藏內心的搖滾靈魂。Olive 分享的演講主題是「Where the Guanyin Bird Returns」，分享她前往小琉球觀察灰面鵟鷹的自然生態，以及當地面臨的保育議題。這次例會非常驚喜有3位 guests 參與一起學習同樂！
Table Topics Session 由 Melissa 帶大家表達對媽媽的愛💖，如果預算無上限想送媽媽什麼禮物？媽媽對人生的影響？與媽媽最難忘的回憶？

The first CHIA-YI Toastmasters Club meeting in May was filled with warmth and energy! Our meeting theme was “Mother’s Day,” and members expressed their love and gratitude to their mothers through English sharing and speeches.
Melissa served as the Grammarian and introduced different usages of the word “appreciative,” helping everyone learn more practical English expressions. Bain also prepared a fun Variety Session, where members created stories by taking turns using “fortunately” and “unfortunately,” bringing lots of creativity and laughter to the meeting.
During the Prepared Speeches session, Joanna delivered a speech titled “My Secret Radio Station,” sharing her hidden passion for rock music and the stories behind it. Olive’s speech, “Where the Guanyin Bird Returns,” brought everyone into the natural world of Xiaoliuqiu, where she shared her experience observing Gray-faced Buzzard and discussed local conservation challenges and ecological issues.
We were also delighted to welcome three guests to join us for this meeting and learn together! ✨
In the Table Topics Session, Melissa guided members to express their love for their mothers 💖
“If budget were unlimited, what gift would you give your mother?”
“How has your mother influenced your life?”
“What is your most unforgettable memory with your mother?”
The heartfelt sharing from everyone made the session especially touching.
