in collaboration with our Accountant have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Business, Accounting, Banking, Teaching, Real Estate, Therapy, Primary, Tertiary and Preschool sector, running over 5 successful industries throughout Trinidad & Tobago paired with UK training and experience in all fields. You are in great hands with over 20 years of knowledge and experience!! I am the proud founder and owner of Child Care Educational Institute. My career started in 1997, started my first job in the accounting field. Completed my Associates degree in my early twenties, then headed back to my homeland in the UK in 2004, where I started my career in Banking, by the time i was 31, i had my first baby, she changed my world. My outlook on life changed from being a career woman to being a dedicated mother. I continued my profession, but during that time, i gained my NVQ level 4, HND,
Training in Child Care at the London & Stonebridge Colleges and completed my First Aid Training through Deutsche Bank, (a German company) at my place of employment. During my 9 month maternity leave i returned to Trinidad to reside in 2012. Having numerous visits to day cares, researching the facilities, the care, standards, hygiene, nutrition, health care, ratio system and certification of staff, i realized that their were no set standards for most home carers, child minders, babysitters or daycare owners operating from their own homes. Some of the owners were not even certified themselves due to not finishing their secondary education, not being able to study because of their age, yet some were very experienced and competent in their fields as child minders. This is when i decided to open my own school dedicated to offering certified Child Care courses. Having many meetings with the appropriate Associations, gaining their permission, support and supervision, they equipped me with the all the requirements and procedures on how to go about registering the school as a legit business and during my visits back to the UK, I've gained my UK Accredited Membership for my Institute. It's been an amazing journey so far and i have met some wonderful people along the way. In my spare time, I'm also a Certified Yoga Therapist offering wellness and stress therapy, including park meditation with over 22 years practise and experience. Check out Yoga Therapy on fb.
