Meet Malachi Senhouse, our 2026 Innovation Nation PowerUp Secondary Schools winner! ✨

What happens when a young innovator sees a problem and decides to build a solution?

For Malachi, a student of Trinity College East, it meant creating Venda TT — an app designed to connect consumers directly with the farmers who grow our food.

His winning idea earned him the top spot in the Secondary Schools Category, but for Malachi, the real value of the competition goes beyond winning. During his acceptance speech, he reflected on how the experience could shape the future of every student who took part.

Trinity College East proudly congratulates Abayomi Hope, on the outstanding achievement of being selected to represent Trinidad and Tobago on the National Under-14 Football Team at the 2026 CFU U-14 Boys Challenge Series in the Dominican Republic.

Abayomi's selection is a testament to his talent, dedication, discipline, and commitment both on and off the field. To earn national honours is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the hard work he has invested in his sporting development.

The entire Trinity College East family is immensely proud of Abayomi's achievement and the exemplary manner in which he has represented both his school and country. His success serves as an inspiration to fellow students, demonstrating that perseverance, character, and determination can lead to extraordinary opportunities.

Our students have once again demonstrated their commitment, determination and hard work, with improvements across key performance indicators:

📚 5 or More CSEC Passes: 97% — up from 96% in 2025

🏆 Full CSEC Pass Rate: 92% — up from 88% in 2025

That’s +1 percentage point in students achieving five or more passes and an impressive +4 percentage points in the full CSEC pass rate! 👏🏽

Huge congrats to TCE student Jannai Applewaithe for an incredible weekend at the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships! He snagged First place in the Boys 15-17 division with seven gold medals in the 100 Free, 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Fly, and all three relays. Plus, he added a silver in the 50 Back and bronze in the 50 Free and 200 IM.

If that wasn't enough, he set four new records in the 100 Freestyle, 400 Medley, 200 Medley, and 200 Freestyle! We're so proud of you! 🥇🏊‍♂️

The TCE family is deeply saddened by the passing of past student, Rian Archer-Royer. Rian will be remembered as a jovial, outgoing and respectful young man whose presence brought warmth and positivity to those around him. During his years at TCE, he proudly represented the school in swimming, demonstrating dedication, sportsmanship and school spirit both in and out of the pool.

His respectful nature, infectious personality and willingness to connect with others earned him the admiration of classmates, teachers and friends alike. The memories he created and the impact he made on our school community will not be forgotten.

On behalf of the entire TCE family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Rian's parents, family members, friends, former classmates and all those whose lives were touched by him. May they find comfort in the cherished memories they shared and strength in the love and support of those around them during this difficult time.

Rest in eternal peace, Rian. You will forever remain in our hearts and memories.🕊️💙 Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
