🇹🇹 A TOUCH OF TVET REACHES CEDROS!

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training (MTEST) joined the National Training Agency (NTA) at Cedros Secondary School for A Touch of TVET – Community Outreach Initiative, bringing skills training, certification and career opportunities directly to the communities of Chatham, Cedros and Icacos.

Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, Senator Professor Emeritus the Honourable Prakash Persad, stressed the importance of initiatives such as A Touch of TVET in ensuring that citizens, regardless of where they live, have access to the training, certification and skills development opportunities needed to build successful and sustainable futures.

Minister Persad was joined by Member of Parliament for Point Fortin and Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, the Honourable Ernesto Kesar, in supporting the initiative and engaging with residents of the surrounding communities.

Throughout the day, school leavers, job seekers, skilled workers and aspiring entrepreneurs had the opportunity to:
