The Giuseppi Preparatory School A co-educational inclusive school established in 1982 in Arima that provides quality student-focused education. But that was not to be.

When Mrs.Undine Giuseppi (author, educator and journalist) retired from the post of Principal of the University School, St. Augustine, where she served for almost ten years, she had every intention of joining her husband in doing what they both loved best of all – WRITING! Just before retiring, she persuaded her sister, Mrs. Nellie Bailey, an accomplished musician, to open a school in St Augustine

to cater for the many students who were unable to find places in The University School. In the advertisements placed in the newspapers giving notice of the opening in St. Augustine of The Nellie Bailey Preparatory School in September 1982, she gave her own name as the person to whom applications should be sent. Parents from Arima would have none of that.
“How can you, Mrs. Giuseppi,” they asked, “open a school in St. Augustine, when we in Arima need one?”
“It is not my school,” she remonstrated. “I am only laying down the groundwork for my sister.”
The parents were adamant. They needed a good school too. The rest as they say is history.

Our own "Jack" climbed the beanstalk (Julie mango tree, lol).🌳

We tilled the land to plant our very own corn and pigeon peas with the assistance from one of the elders in the community. Thanks Mr Taff🌱

We counted beans, coloured and word sluethed, anything centered around our story of the day. 🤓

Today was just filled with activities from musical chairs, playing catch to icing our own cross on our buns. Hot Cross buns, one a penny two a penny Hot Cross buns 🎶🎵

If we are exhausted, here's to hoping the children are as well
