Last evening, Vice President Malkia Harris delivered a presentation to exchange students from Queen Mary University of London, who are currently being hosted by the Hugh Wooding Law School.
Her presentation focused on the role and purpose of the GJC at the Law School and highlighted some of the committee’s key initiatives and activities throughout the year.
This presentation was made alongside the SRC, TTJC, BJC and OECSJC.
The evening was designed to introduce the exchange students to the rich cultural diversity of HWLS and featured a visit to the Mount St. Benedict Monastery, followed by a dinner showcasing cuisines from the various jurisdictions represented at the Law School.
We warmly welcome the exchange students to the Hugh Wooding Law School and to Trinidad and Tobago, and wish them an enjoyable and enriching stay!

Diwali at HWLS! 🪔
On Friday, the Guyanese students attended Diwali celebrations hosted by the Hindu Students’ Society.
The evening began with a puja officiated by Principal Rudranath Maharaj, followed by a vibrant cultural programme featuring singing, dancing, and a Ramleela performance, and concluded with a beautiful light-up and lively tassa drumming. 🎇
Congratulations to the HSS for hosting such a wonderful and successful event!
