Harmon At 60

The year 2012 marks a diamond milestone for the existence of the Harmon School of S.D.A. Tobago. Simply put, we must BELIEVE OUR BELIEFS! Far from it!

The 60th Anniversary is themed behind this catch phrase BELIEVE IT, ACHIEVE IT,
RECEIVE IT. This theme is predicated on the assumption that this life is transitory. Because of this, we as human beings cannot bring to the life experience a cavalier approach. There must be some level of urgency in appreciating the input of MIND in the direction one takes in life. Your BELIEFS enclose your world vie

w, and that may limit or broaden your life’s horizons. The theme therefore presupposes a willingness on our part to do a hardnosed and honest inventory of our current set of BELIEFS. The subtle irony of this is that some of our BELIEFS are so deep seated as to be well neigh inaccessible to conscious contact. Be that as it may, you are encouraged here to own your BELIEFS and allow them to permeate your daily existence. Having done that, enough energy would have been generated to ACHIEVE success. But that word success is used advisedly. Some may run away with the notion that material success is the be-all and end-all of life. The true Harmonite knows and accepts that this life is merely a dress rehearsal for eternal life. Thus the theme encourages us to set structures in place so that when the GIVER OF ETERNAL LIFE makes the offer, we, by His Grace, will be qualified to RECEIVE IT! It was believed that an Adventist High School could be formed in Tobago, it happened.. The 60 years achievements realized from having such an institution on the island are evidently overwhelming.. We are now at a stage where we must grow further to provide better and more comfortable facilities, improved aesthetics, more classrooms and the list goes on for the future generation...
