On Wednesday 3rd, June, 2026, the Belle Garden Early Childhood Centre journeyed on a Whimsical Field Trip Adventure.
A Field Trip is an important part of preschool learning because it gives children the opportunity to experience their classroom theme in a real-life setting. It helps them make connections between what they have learned and the world around them. Through hands-on exploration, observation, and interaction, children gain a deeper understanding of concepts while developing their language, social, and cognitive skills. Field trips also encourage curiosity, build confidence, and create meaningful experiences that make learning more engaging, enjoyable, and memorable.

Theme: Whimsical Shops

Sub Theme: Nails Salon

A Nail Salon Theme provides young children with opportunities to develop fine motor and hand-eye coordination skills through activities such as painting nails, decorating, and handling small tools. It also encourages creativity and self-expression as children explore colors, patterns, and nail designs. Through dramatic play and group activities, children build communication, social, and listening skills by interacting with peers, sharing materials, and taking turns. It supports early numeracy and language development through counting, sorting, and learning new salon-related vocabulary. In addition, young children will gain awareness of personal care, hygiene, confidence, and independence while engaging in meaningful and enjoyable play experiences.

In a Hair Shop/Salon, will help young children develop many important skills. It improves fine motor skills through cutting and styling, while also encouraging creativity when designing hairstyles. Communication and social skills grow as they interact and understand each other. It also builds problem-solving abilities, time management, and teamwork. In addition, students will learn about hygiene, basic business skills, and gain confidence and independence.

Today's Fun, Exciting Science Activity Garden ECCE.

Harvesting and preparing a garden is a great hands-on activity that helps develop both fine motor and gross motor skills, especially for young children, today the students harvested some of their crops that were planted last term and prepared the bed for planting new crops in our Little Sprout Garden.
